Don't get drunk, it's not worth the possible hangover the next day. :P
Get a 'buzz' going and try to hold it at that, you'll have more fun and not suffer from the 'day after the night before' syndrome...with a bit of luck.
However, if you do end up with a hangover, drink some water or one of those sports drinks, Gatorade or whatever, the extra goodies in them might help and they won't hurt, have some painkillers and go back to bed.
