' Wrote:Can someone explain to me how using foul language can be considered ooRP and even be punishable, when you are a pirate? No, seriously. What the hell? It just so happens that all of the criminals and the 'scum of the universe' are well-spoken, highly mannered people? How can you stay iRP as a bad guy, when cursing at someone will get you banned, just wondering?:D
The whole concept of censorship is pretty communist.
If Marx had seen what everyone else did with his concept he would have probably committed suicide early on.
EDIT: A bit offtopic, but there is another anomaly which is receiving vigorous support from 'RP-ers'. Not using emoticons in the system chat. At one point someone decided that text messaging was just eradicated from every single living culture in space. I've been called by many different names (negative ones) when using smiley faces in space; I mean, people react as if I was telling them go fu*k off. So just to be clear, no one in space uses foul language and text messaging does not exist -> therefore, using emoticons is considered ooRP?

Don't worry, I'm not trying to turn this into a political thread. :P
I'll just depart with an old cliche: two wrongs don't make a right.
Thread-hijacking EDIT: IIRC, in vanilla, all of the ship-to-ship communication was done via the video chat (as in missions). Which would - I guess - rule out the use of smileys. But then again, it would logically rule out system chat as well. Oh, well.
