Can the texture's color be made a little more bronze-ish? Right now it looks exactly like the liberty grey, while the osiris and order fighters have a slight bronze/gold tint that would suggest construction from a different alloy.
Other than that, looks great, the launch tubes fit a lot better compacted like that.

the spikes are launch lights ( well, will be ) - each tube has two spikes - and i plan to place a few pulsating lights on each. - don t know if its possible to give them a timer - so that they are blinking one after another. - these things are barely visible in space - they are very thin and just hold the lightbulbs.

i d skin it with the osiris skin that appears a little darker than the liberty - but i haven t found that texture in the texture pack - might darken the skin myself or i ll browse some more though the texture folder. - i tried to apply different textures to the grey parts...but there is a very practical reason i had to use that one. - the resolution of the other textures is lower sometimes - the default grey is quite detailed ... and i was a bit too lazy to split the existing faces into multiple ones by cutting them up. - might tint them more bronze/darkish yellow and reapply the whole skin - thats quite easily done.
the concept would be:
a light carrier thats ( in RP ) able to deply a wing of fighters quickly and simultanously. the ship is bigger than the osiris - more due to the fact that the osiris is so small. all the modifications sacrificed armour though - a likely sacrifice that a ship that is not designed to fly at the frontline can make.
so i d suggest it to have something like
- 300.000 hitpoints base
- battlecruiser powersource
- cruiser shields
- 16 cruiser turrets with extremely limited firearcs ( its not meant to charge a target with all 16 guns blazing - so i d rather make the turrets have very distinct arcs - the advantage is, you can track and follow hostile fighters more easily, cause turrets on the other side of the ship don t need to fully turn in order to get the fighter into their line of sight ) so i m aiming for something like 6 turrets to the front, 4 turrets to the back, 8 turrets to the sides [ thats the fire arcs, not the number of actual turrets of course ]
- it could have a generous cargobay - cause its supposed to be bigger than the osiris.
sorry to those that were looking for a checkmate move, but i have to agree that the order wouldn t build another one but the osiris. - a light carrier with battlecruiser stats would do well though, i believe. it would more be a RP ship than a line breaker. - but nevertheless, it could mount a few light mortars and inflict heavy damage to pretty much everything. - there is nothing more efficient than something with an overlarge powersource and a weaponclass that needs only little energy.
such a ship could be used to backup far-away operations for the order - maybe [ if igiss considers it ] it could even have a good strafe / turn rate compared to other ships of a similar size.
anyway - i d see such a ship not to fly without fighters. - while the osiris can operate all alone, like some other battleships ( even in RP ) - a carrier should allways fly with fighters ( a carrier with fighters is big and fearsome..... a carrier without fighters is only big )
a big powersource enables such a ship to mount many antifighter weapons, too ( missile turrets ) - they aren t too great on a ship of that size, but when its defended by fighters, too - missiles can cause some trouble among the enemies.
*so, thats the concept of this ship. - something that cannot go one vs. one against a liberty carrier, that is classified as a battleship of course, - but something that can easily escape from it into an asteroid field.
First of , since I was the one who put effort into arguing with people wheater this ship should be created , I want to give HUGE THANKS to Jinx , for the creation of the ship.
Many of you know that I was actually guarding the idea of the Order getting a fierce piece of technology , with wich to defend ourselves from our un-fairly hogged enemies.Or like Jinx said , I was looking for a "chess mate" move ship. But I understand the reasons for making it a BC with heavy RP role.
It is indeed a work of art and I realy want to see that ship in the new mod as our new BC.
Also , I would very much appreciate , you sending me the ship file to test in OpenSP.
