Funny thing... In fighter combat, there is a similar issue with the Titan. The crosshair sits above the main body of the ship. The best way of dealing with it is to subtarget the shield, thruster or CM dropper. Surely you could do the same with the AI cruiser and remove the issue that way?
Actually both the nomad and the Coalition cruiser should be excluded from this list, as only a selcted "few" people on this server are able to fly anyone of those. Besides, the Irra is intended to be OP.
One more thing: No one voted for the Zoner destroyer, Corvo is the zoner cruiser, so please fix this..
My vote: Thresher (BHG cruiser). Slim profile, good agility, nice firepower. I am surprised it has not been mentioned, yet.

Well since some have it, they can vote for it, but when I fought 1, it just isnt good when it turns your back on you. And Irra, I dont agree its OP, just the speed, I dont see its being small, its a big cruiser, so I dont see why not can other cruisers kill it, for example a Bret Dessie, the crosshair is broke, good firepower, and good profile. But people have different oppinions, noted your vote, and Eonaros.
Actually, you don't have a ship listed that I particularly like - the Bullhead. You have the Thresher - but I think the Cattlebruiser deserves to be on this list as well. It matches up quite nicely with the Irra as one of the two best cruisers in the game. (When flown properly, of course - before missions were changed a little, it used to be nothing to take a Bullhead in against the NPC Ossie and totally decimate it.)
And I'll say it again - the Irra is NOT OP. It has extra thrust, same as the Bullhead. But the weapons on the Irra are not OP, not anymore.

Rule 6.8e: cruisers (including destroyers and battlecruisers)
We're not wet navy here, so if you're considering a frigate the same as a destroyer the same as a cruiser, but NOT including battlecruisers, then you need to get some Rid, because you're picking nits.
The Kusari and BHG Dessie are almost in a class to themselves. And while the AI Cruiser is a nice little ship, it's barely better than a large gunboat. And let's face it - the Irra effectively IS a battlecruiser, because of the thrust, the main guns, and the general overall capability of the ship.

This rule is made to prevent confusion whether it should be counted as a cruiser or battleship ID wise. Battlecruiser are just another ship class.

Actually, if you dig back through stuff, you'll find we had an interesting, long, and ultimately futile discussion regarding ships and ship classes a couple of years ago or so. That's why I went off on my tangent.
As you said, Battlecruisers are just another ship class. SO ARE DESTROYERS. A destroyer is NOT a cruiser - it's smaller, lighter, and more maneuverable. So why exactly are Destroyer class ships included in this poll / discussion when they aren't Cruisers?
At least I didn't go off on our tangent about pocket battleships, raider battleships, and ship of the line battleships, and how those all rate here - since we have an assortment thereof in the game.
