Markus Janson was spotted once again carrying artifacts through Cambridge. He ran away, and was promptly followed. During this time-frame, we verified he was a smuggler, and were able to engage and destroy him in New London.
Continuing patrols throughout Cambridge space now...

HFC-Renegade made another appearance today in Cambridge. This ship proceeded to evade SF and BSG ships for some time, before again disappearing from long range scanners.
Corsair gunboat devastator-[cpt]-flurry was encountered later. Response to SF challenge was "Lawful eat spaces", so it was assumed to be hostile. This ship proceeded to evade SF and BSG ships at cruise. SF fighter and bomber were eventually forced to refuel.

Continue attempts to track the two vessels. The Corsair aligned freelancer has been added to the wanted list.
On another note, I've been informed by Cambridge Research Institute (CRI) that the Corsairs have requested that they leave Yarren station and Corsair bases are to no longer service SF ships, the request rather than shooting was a last act of hospitality for assisting them in fighting the Nomads.
Likely, this is in response to our crack down on artifacts as contraband. CRI was easily able to move their equipment off the station having been in the process of moving the material slowly out to Freeport 11 and Omicron Minor for sometime. CRI in response has subsequently withdrawn the funding that was being given to the Zoners in order for them to supply the Corsairs with food in return for CRI's access to the station and its artifacts. The guess is that the Corsairs will be using funding provided from their raiders to purchase the food from the Zoners.
OOC: SF vessels fix NPC rep accordingly (shouldn't be too hard to find some Corsair raiders in Cambridge). Actions towards players remain as always, unless an already known hostile treat them with caution, unknowns should be the ones who fire the first shot unless of course knowingly breaking SF/Bretonian law. And I have a cookie for the first one to find the post with the CRI agreement I'm referring to because its still here:cool:

AFH_Dusseldorf Nomad Battleship detected in Cambridge. Engaged in Omega 5. Strange anamolies detected while in pursuit.
Succeeded in disrupting the Nomad to prevent it from again engaging cruise and proceeded to vaporise it.
A large number of civilian and Bretonian Naval pilots were recovered.
devastator-[cpt]-flurry engaged in Cambridge with assistance of Bs and BSG forces. Two TBF Rheinland bombers joined the side of devastator-[cpt]-flurry. One was tagged TBF-Targon. Unsure of the other ship ID.
Exeter's shields were dropped rapidly and cruise was used to disengage from combat.
Fighter support(Echo2) was available at short notice and proceeded to engage the hostile ships. SFFG-Killer_Dave was eventually able to join the battle. The Corsair ships exited through Omega 5 jumphole and were pursued by a large force of SF, BSG and Bs ships. Several hostile ships were badly damaged but a lack of cruise disruptors allowed them to repeatedly regenerate shields with cruise.
While attacking the damaged Corsair gunboat, SFF-Echo2 was critically damaged but the pilot ejected safely.

Forgot about this, so I don't know the exact name, but I think we can figure it out. [Orion]-B, or some element was caught smuggling artifacts through Cambridge. He escaped. The reason I figure that we can figure his name out is via a report that Admiral Firebird fined this same character approximately 24-48 hours previously.
Also, Helghast Kid Nasty was discovered in Cambridge, and promptly engaged and destroyed thanks to SFB-Beta2, several BSG ships, and SFBS-Sierra. By the time Sierra got there, the Helghast was heavily damaged, with Sierra only having to take down shields and approximately 7-10% of the hull. Commendations to SFB-Beta2 and BSG.
Sierra out...

It has come to my attention that the The Black Fleet has openly engaged SF vessels. Our attitude towards your faction is reduced to unfriendly. Continued attacks will push to this to hostile in which your transports will be asked to leave Cambridge and the Nomad license will be revoked. Consider your actions wisely.

Was the character name [-Orion-]8B@ll, if so an impound order will automatically be issued upon SFBS-Sierra's confirmation reply.

Admiral, I can confirm the presence of TBF Krog during this engagement. However Krogs success in battle had more to do with the emerald color of his transponder in our HUDs and the Navy tag he was flying than it did with any fighting prowess. Once we realised who's side he was fighting on, he and his RH bomber were dispatched easily.
I am happy to report shipping lanes in the lower omegas remarkably quiet after this fight.
