Then you go trade elsewhere, in other House. As a respond to more pirates people will make more law enforcement chars anyway, join navies, factions thrive, eternal activity cycle.




Buffing trains to 10k sounds like serious overkill. Mind you, cash/time profit in lanes wouldn't be affected that much as some think, you use space highway after all.

Indeed. Between you lanes, you have on average about 2k distance. You hardly make effective use of the cruise engine during that time, and might aswell cross this distance with thrusters.

You use lanes for the large majority of the distance, so a cruise speed nerf will only affect you on not even 5% of the way.

If you read closely, you should know that it only affects ships with cargo hold larger than 4300. Afaik, there is no trading faction that can use those (except zoners) that normally trade in systems without lanes. IMG can't use those anyway, ALG shouldn't really be that far out of house space that no lanes are present, do you have any other trading faction actively using 5kers that comes to your mind that this change will have a severe impact on?

Yes. For any corporate faction that uses foolowing systems and their station for trading:
Graves Station in Dublin, Omega-3, Douglas, Sprague and another station. Sigma-19 (I think) Planet Kurile and Atka research station. Ontario, Fort Severn. Alberta, Camrose Supply Depot, Leduc Station. Omega-11, Solarius Station.
Did I forget any system where corporate-owned station is far away from lanes?

Those systems are far from houses and dangerous to traverse (in Omegas for example when you're far from the lanes). In systems like Omega-11, where space is even more dangerous, you wouldn't use slow ships anyway but prefer to have heavily armoured ships.
The same applies to any of the systems mentioned.
A corporation would be retarded to not have armoured fast transports in dangerous regions.

ALG is really close partner of IMG, and frequently participate in IMG mining operations in Taus.

I never supported "running" away from pirates where the haulers don't utter a single word or what we say is "mute" traders.

But what I meant here that, to fix the above problem, we don't have to nerf the transports, flying them will only mean you are asking to get pirated. and not every pirate out there is up for RP. People with weird "10milordie" are even present.

I never pledged for no RP. When a pirate gets hold of you, you RP according to situation, but that doesn't mean, you stomp in front of pirate knowingly !!!
