@mjolnir: here is your comparison chart - from top to bottom ( civi bomber, GC bomber, kusari bomber, rheinland bomber )
i ll retexture it with something golden and purple...
sorry for the poor quality - i just took those comparisons quickly and the quality isn t really great - but good enough to get an idea about the size...
Well, looks fine really.
And sorry to bother you, but I'd like to see it next to your FA bomber (the cute one), since I have no idea how's that one doing with size.
Please?

they are pretty much of the same size - but a different shape. - the FA bomber is larger from the side, the GC bomber is larger from the front.
i think - sizewise they are both fine. - they are not exactly small, but not as huge as the barghest, which is easily twice as large ( its really almost a gunboat )
The cockpit isn't really slender/elegant/cute enough for a Kusari faction of girls. Something like the Kusari LF cockpit would be better. Also, to add to the flower motif, possibly you could round the edges of each of each fan blad to make them look more like 'mum petals.
looking at the size. im pleased with that:Dnow to hope that the hitbox is ok, but then again im probably biased with that bit >.>

but try to keep it roughly the same size, i wouldnt want to be easier to hit, hehe

All in all, looking good Jinx. I'm impressed. The general size looks alright, although the cockpit does need to be smaller, I think. What about the hitboxes though? Do they fit each of those ships perfectly? XD
i gotto admit, i do not concern myself with hitboxes - and i leave it to igiss to figure out what fits best ( i might make a suggestion but i don t really care much ) - i told him that ... in general, i prefer a hitbox to be larger than the model, cause that never causes players to rage about it. - players are always only mad about hitboxes that are too small.
a suggestion is a strechted dragon hitbox or a dromedary hitbox, which ( surprisingly ) fits quite OK - when squashed, it can cover the ship and is only like 10-15% larger than the model itself. - but fits quite neatly over most of the characteristic parts.
about "making the cockpit rounder" - i m a bit at a loss there ... the cockpit is quite round... and i already made it a lot smaller ( compare the concept ( bare model ) with the ingame images ) - you ll see that the whole mainframe is stretched and the cockpit is like 50% smaller than the concept model. - any smaller and it looks like a SHF at least. - about the roundness. - its very round, but its more a "classic" canopy, while the drake cockpit is more the frontshield of a car ( its much wider ) . there is not too much room to change those things on the ship.
about the texture - i ll swap some of the default kusari textures for civilian textures that are less brown and more bronze ( or what people think is bronze, but is really just a darker brown anyway ) - i have tried dyed purple parts - and they look bad... simply bad. when i dye it as a dark purple, they look fine in bright light, but the ship turns a flat, dark shape in the more darker systems ( like the death scythe or the slipstream or the raven claw ) - when i make it a brighter purple, it looks pink in some kusari systems with a brighter sun - and the whole ship looks like nothing fearsome, but rather like some..... fun boat.
the problem with dyes is that the general freelancer colourscheme is very conservative. - its really either grey / silver or brown. kusari ships are dominated by silver and brown, libery is grey and blue/grey, borderworld is blue grey, rheinland is a muddy green and bretonia is the only faction with at least some sort of style in red / white.
so - i think i ll make the wings a dark grey ( not the default kusari wings ), leave the frameworks a bright silver and the ships main body a kusari default colour. - the reactor will become civilian style with some silver elements. - intakes shall be dark grey to match the wings.
i do not have the plugins to make .dds maps right now, so i will not mix tga and dds maps on the model to add dyed parts. - if i ever make a nicer .mat file, it can stil be added some time. - all in all the ship will be on par with the FA bomber, while the FA bomber will be slightly larger, but easier to hit with, cause the torpedo tubes are directly beneath the cockpit and in the very center of the ship, while the torp tubes of the GC bomber are sideways - but then the GC bomber is a little smaller.
