In speaking from experience. My arrogant advice would be to prepare for his death, and I do mean that in the kindest possible way, but if he is going to pass away, my personal thoughts are to let him.

I never got the chance to say goodbye to my grandmother, whom I was very close to, so spend time with him as much as possible but prepare for the fact that he may not get better and that letting him slip into the veil might be the kindest option. I understand that this might upset you but please do understand that if it is his time, then it is his time.

That said, from all your other posts it seems like he is making progress, which is good. I wish him all the best, I really do. Please keep us in the know.
