I dont know how to extract the texture files from freelancer =( this was textured with some basic spaceship hull textures I found on google.

UTF Editor. Open the mat file in it, then export the MIPS to DDS, and you're away!

I might compile a rar file of all the vanilla textures, and upload it somewhere...

Already done, and available in the developer's help thread unless my links are down. It includes all vanilla models in .ms3d and all vanilla textures in .dds.

I don't see what you are talking about, since unless I'm mistaken, most missile turrets use the same model as gun turrets.

Just look at the "Basic Gunboat Missle Turrets"

They're Cannons and they shoot white things.....Hahaha.
