No Ivan, this is a specific example of how the ZTC's whining resulted in them abusing the event. They came here to complain about how they didnt know what was going on, and then when they were told "IT WAS NOT AN EVENT FOR ZONERS" What did they do? Ran convoy after convoy to take advantage of the event.
THANKS ZTC, YOU HAVE JUST REINFORCED WHY THE EVENT WAS SECRET.
Dont complain next time something is keept secret from you, cause you folks obviously dont know how to keep OOC information (That you screamed about until you were given) tostop you from abuse an event that was not for you and you were told was not for you. Nice work ZTC, The Brotherhood will be pirating your ships till all the money you stole from me is taken back.

why to go to pms? So you can tell me why you abused a event you were told not for you? I dont really need to know the reason you abused it, its enough to knowyou abused it.
Well it won't go to the flame wars but i think community has a right to hear it. I got explained that Crete is starving. That's completely a good lie, and its my fault i bought it.
Alright, I'll explain the situation from my Point of View.
We started playing Freelancer about 18:00 -- 20:00 GMT yesterday. In-game, we got reports that Food was not being sold on Freeport 15 or Freeport 9. Our first assumption that this was a bug, our second assumption that this was another staged event like the one for Freeport 14.
First, we started to check news reports on various stations in Theta and Gamma, Crete included. We had a feeling that the Food restrictions on the Freeports were done because there was an event staged for Crete. So we, including OSI and various independant traders, traveled elsewhere, and bought food ---> brought it to Crete and sold it for 3,999. We checked the Crete news items -- nothing there.
We assumed that considering the Freeport 14 event, this was a similar case with Crete deseperately running out of food. After all, Crete being low on food is a typical RP plotpoint. Keep in mind, we had no idea about Shepardi's Birthday event because the news section was still not showing anything. I PMed Ivan, and assuming just what I said told him, "Crete is desperately in need of food supplies. Lets go!" Heck, I even told this to various TBH and HAF members and they made no comments regarding the shipments being restricted to Corsair allies.
Frank made a statement regarding the "ERR Out of Stock" error because we really had no idea what was going on and naturally, we wanted to find out. I for one, hadn't checked the forums until much later in the game.
EDIT: The reason why the news section was not visible is because you had to restart Freelancer to see it. A lot of us didn't know this. Believe me, if we knew that this was a Corsair restricted event, we wouldn't have abused it. Least of all, none of us would be telling anyone that Crete was out of stock on Food.
If I had read that bit of news on the forum, I wouldn't have participated. And I would have told others not to participate. As for people that did read Zelot's "this is a Corsair event, not a Zoner one," it's possible they misunderstood it as "an event hosted by Corsairs, vs an event hosted by Zoners (Freeport 14 event)." -- because a lot of Kusari ships came to deliver food that day, and they were definitely not Corsairs. So perhaps folks misunderstood it as an event hosted by Corsairs, rather than Corsair exclusive.
Look, this IS a misundestanding as far as most people are concerned. Add to that the fact that if we wanted to fool anybody, we would NOT have invited Ivan to come with us. I hadn't read the forums. I thought it was an event for everybody so I wanted for everybody to have fun.
Listen, I made 20 million yesterday from the event, having done 1 run. Please go ahead and have it. It's not worth such accusations for me.
Bottom line is this: most of us didn't read the thread involving Frank and Zelot. We also could not see the news report due to not knowing that we had to restart Freelancer. And if we had any inkling off that this was for Corsairs only, and that Zoners were not to bring any food to Crete -- we wouldn't have gone along with it. Another thing is this: ZTC was not the only one involved, we just happened to be online that day more than others. There were plenty of indies -- Zoner and non-Zoner alike doing the food runs as well. What is the big deal here? It was just a stupid misunderstanding. It could have happened to most anyone...as a matter of fact it did.
