' Wrote:No skin off my nose. The Geb should have been a BS to begin with. A grandfather clause should have some stipulations in it though. It wouldn't be terribly fair if someone knowlingly purchased a Geb two weeks before the BS conversion, in the hopes of saving cash.
Maybe a minimum of 6 months of ownership as a prerequisite for a free BS conversion?
I'd be fine with that, and of course no converted ships would get any weapons (they'd start off as a blank slate and have to buy bs guns).
Thing is, how many people would end up complaining that the order now has two light battleships? The Geb and osiris are the same size, so unless the geb gets an entirely new model to make it a heavy battleship (which isnt a bad idea either, since the order lacks a dreadnaught) there's no real point in converting it.
Making it a heavy bs like the liberty carrier though, that would give us a shipclass we dont have, fix a shipclass that's basically broken, and make me a very happy player =P

Well... no.
In my suggestion I stated that BCs as a ship class could be eliminated as being superfluous. No one would really miss them.
So, in the case of the Liberty shipline, the LABC would get deep-sixed, leaving the Siege Cruiser, the Dreadnought (a BS) and the Liberty Assault Carrier (the other BS).

Either that, or the LABC would need to simply be re-balanced as a heavy cruiser, rather than a battlecruiser. Either way, bc's wouldnt exist any longer.
The reason the Geb would become a BS and not a normal cruiser is due to it's current size and armament, the thing is already the size of a battleship and in many ways plays like a psuedo-battleship. It is not balanced like any of the other battlecruisers in the mod, and never really has been.
No, this would limit Heavy Battleship's energy loadout type things. I personally like to fire with regenning so I can fire mortars/heavy mortars again in a battle. This would limit it severely.
Instead, Primaries should be for Heavy battleships, and Secondaries would be for Light battleships equivalent to primaries. Secondaries, however, would have altered stats (better damage for one)
Caps need more changes. It can't be done this way.
Last of my suggestion failed also not for that only reason. I would suggest someone leave at least one or two modded ship line that illustrate the changes for tests. The testers will then be able to give a feedback.
