This is my work / play area:





Yes, that really is two desktops and a laptop sharing the workspace, and that's my laser off to the left. The monitor on top is actually for my file / movie server (which is the tower under the desk). The monitor in the middle is for the tower to the left of the desk, that's what runs my laser, and while I have long jobs running, where I also play Skyrim. And my laptop is where Disco happens.

Yes, that is an 8 port switch and a fairly large UPS under the laser engraver, and my flatbed scanner is to the right of the laser.

Not shown: My LaserJet printer, or the REST of my home network. (Another desktop, another laptop, and my Xbox 360.) Everything is where it is because we had to have two dedicated 20 amp circuits in this room - one for the laser and one for the 400 cfm blower exhaust fan for the laser.)
