' Wrote:Red Hessians had to tag so many Kruger convoys to hold of the conctruction of the Cruiser and now just because some thin-eyed folk are moving in, all the Matt's work goes to waste? I think not! No way Im going to miss it.
Or I can stay on my GMG character to annoy tresspassing convoy.:)
Wait, what? You're saying that you have a Kruger transport collecting dust?
' Wrote:The only transport I have is my BLS, but I suppose I could make another one, but I'm currently in as Wesley. Would that work?
Oh, so it's true what Pierre said about you flying one ship with your feet.:D

although I fly a Junker id Mammoth.
I em currently looking for the Zoner tag..
My RP story is that of a freelance merchant?
Would you temporarily mount a generic Trader ID? Can't really have Junkers fulfill a defense contract, now, can we?
At this point I'm going to say that neither company have enough logistics to transport the volume of materials needed in that short time, so they outsourced.
Alright, then. I suppose I can't be really picky about the traders being this or that, so I'll lax a bit and let untagged, generic traders in as well. That and traders linked with Rheinland/Kusari companies.
EDIT: The explanation is that the companies involved Daumann and (Kishiro or Samura) can't really come around with the logistics needed. Well, in fact they can't, as far as we PCs are concerned.:P
EDIT2: This hurried attempt for outside help can be the cause for the information leak (pirates getting to know about this convoy).
First shipping event - Sunday, May 18th 2008 - 6 PM GMT (1 PM EST)
[color=#66FFFF]Roles:
1. Transports: The convoy leaves Yukawa* (New Tokyo) Shipyard en route to Alster (Hamburg) carrying Hull Panels (70%) and Optronics (30%).
2. Escorts (RM-RFP/KNF-KSP): Kusarian escorts take the convoy as far as the border of Frankfurt, where it is transfered to the Rheinlander ones.
3. Pirates/Terrorists: Local pirates/terrorists from each House try to disrupt and prevent the convoy from reaching Alster.
* Unfortunately I've made a mistake. These goods aren't sold in any of the two Shipyards in Kusari. Ship Hull Panels may be acquired at Freeport 6 (Tau-29) or Yanagi (Sigma-13); Optronics may be acquired at Planet Honshu (Honshu). For the sake of the story, the transports may buy these items in any of these or other places selling these items and then meet at the Shipyard.
Rules of engagement:
1. The "cruise" rule does not apply for this event;
2. Ships may not dock during the event. Any ship that docks is considered and/or disabled and may no longer fulfill its purpose in the event;
3. Transports cannot be directly engaged until 50% of the escort force is destroyed. Transports may break away from the escorts (engage cruise) if that number is reached. The intercepted convoy may keep moving at impulse speed in order to produce a "timer" for the event**;
4. A maximum of 20% of the transports may be destroyed on the Kusari side of the event. The remaining transports must be allowed to escape so there can be an event on the Rheinland side;
** I'm considering allowing the transports to make a hasty escape from Kusari space so the guy in Rheinland won't have to wait too much.
Observations:
a) The "transport" role for the "shipping events" is open to factions and independents, but the transports must be either tagged and IDed after one of the Rheinland or Kusari companies (Kishiro, Samura, Daumann, Republican, ALG or Kruger), or untagged with a generic Trader ID;
b) Participating transports will automatically be awarded 1 million credits by myself. This is just a compensation for the trouble and for the goods acquired;
c) I'll throw in a 20 million credits award prize for one of the transport participants chosen at random;
d) The pirate/terrorist roles for the events are open to Rheinlander and Kusarian groups, but they must register their intention to participate here (the ones who already did are exempt from this).
VERY IMPORTANT: If there are any problems during the event concerning people "breaking rules" of any sort, please, contact me directly through PMs and I will sort it out myself. Remember this is supposed to be an RP event. Can't have it being disrupted by ooRP discussion. So please, don't.

I need feedback concerning the revised rules of engagement. If you guys have any doubts, suggestions or criticism about them, post them here. I'll work out a list of participants so far so we can keep track of who is on. I came up with (6 PM GMT) as being a "central" time. Tell me if that's good enough.
Quote:6. Transports may dock to avoid fire, but may not "fast dock". A transport that "fast docks" is considered destroyed and may not deliver the goods to Alster. Transports cannot repair, but may buy shield batteries and nanobots when docked.
I see the intention of this rule, but I doubt that this would work as intended... Firstly, it is very hard to distinguish "fast docks" and normal ones as an observer, and even worse, "fast docks" can happen even unintentionally. So, either we allow both docking types, or we dump docking completely. Also, disallowing repairing while allowing refilling on bots/bats doesn't make too much sense for me, since they too repair damage instantly.
Except from that minor issue, it's looking good to me. Time sounds acceptable, but I can't be sure yet.
But the Raven, sitting lonely on that placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered; not a feather then he fluttered--
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other friends have flown before--
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."
<blockquote>Then the bird said, "Nevermore."</blockquote>
