Well, I made my first patrol tonight after my ship was fitted out. I ran a few loops around the NY system. Didn't have anything to worry about at first.
I spent some time talking to a Merc by the name of Mike Fox. Interesting Chap. He had Permission of the Navy to be in Liberty.
After awhile, Mr Fox's scanner picked up Outcasts in gunboats. I was unfortunately able to pinpoint them. Just as suddenly, a Lane Hacker named Zlippery showed up in a Slipstream and started attacking Newark Station. I asked him 3 times to remove himself from Liberty space and to stop attacking the station. He did not comply.
I engaged, and after a short fight, I was defeated. I ejected and my life pod was hauled in and taken back to Manhattan. NOTE: Zlippery is a lousy flier, he ran into me multiple times.
Doc said that after the burns on my arms heal up I will be ready to go again. Maybe a day or two. Hot coffee really makes a mess of skin.... NO gun camera footage is available, it burned up when the wreckage entered Manhattan's atmosphere.

Phew, this job really doesn't let up, not even for rookies... and that's just the way I like it!
Here's a rundown of all my solo encounters on my first day on the job; everything else has been mentioned by my fellow officers already.
First, right off the bat, after equipping my Liberator, I ran into the Hacker Slipstream Zamfir in California. I attempted to arrest him; he resisted, and a battle began. Zamfir called in an Outcast gunboat, Maseru, to assist him.
Despite Maseru being equipped with Dragonflies, he was unable to prevent me beating the Slipstream. Unfortunately, after Zamfir lost his last few nanobots, he began to circle around the missile boat, and I had to leave for Riverside without scoring a takedown.
Next, I encountered the Outcast Falcata Ferres As Dakarto in New York, aided and abetted by the unlawful Freelancer Lumen, flying an IMG gunboat. Both resisted arrest; Dakarto escaped, but, after I called in some heavier backup, the gunboat Lumen was quickly and painlessly destroyed.
Immediately afterwards, I ran slap-bang into the Lane Hacker zlippery by West Point as he was attacking Navy regulars. He resisted arrest (unsurprisingly enough), drew me away from West Point, and opened fire on me, but was taken down without any trouble.
Right towards the end of my fight with zlippery, a bizarre character showed up and opened up on both me and the Hacker - Russ, a Civilian (//Civilian ID at level 56) in a Raven Claw, mounting Corsair pulse weaponry and codename cannons; no transponder. He never spoke a word during the entire engagement, simply blasted away at my Liberator - unfortunately for him, I was much the better pilot. After Russ lost his last weapon to my questing missiles, he threw himself into the sun. My guncam seems to have been damaged by the sun's corona - I gave chase - so I regrettably don't have a screenshot of Russ' suicide, but I've got one here of his final moments.
Following that, I was called to West Point to establish a blockade; two Hacker Spyglasses were inbound to New York. For some reason, they never arrived, so I went back on patrol; I encountered the illegal and unlawful merc AI Beta 5 by the California gate. The android first fled from me, then opened up on me with Colada del Cids in California proper. I easily gained the upper hand; Beta 5 ended up spending most of the fight dodging around like the robotic coward he was, but still couldn't win, and finally threw himself into Los Angeles' atmosphere after I tore off his precious Corsair guns.
After I took Beta 5 to pieces, I got a call from the Chief - I'd made the SWAT team. I chose to join the Guardian wing - I am a fighter pilot, after all - and set out to equip myself. While en route to Illinois, I ran into an Order terrorist, Bertic, in a Nephthys by the Colorado - Bush lane. He, too, resisted arrest (what a surprise!), after much deliberation, and merrily blasted away with, oh how original, Colada del Cids - he didn't last ten seconds.
After I destroyed the Nephthys, Officer Bauer showed up on the scene - I asked him to collect the terrorist's pod while I finished arming my shiny new Guardian. After I tuned my fighter to my satisfaction at Springfield, I turned in for the night. That's about it for my first day as a cop. Lots of action to be had.
Started off the night by making a loop thru the California system. All was quite there. As I came back into the NY system and was passing West Point, I noticed a Navy operation in progress. At this point I was shot at by a Molly Gunboat (Kurgen). Since I was engaged, I felt it Prudent to engage. I stayed until all of the bandits had been dispatched.
At this point I started patrolling in front of Manhattan. Had many bogies on my scope, but none getting too close to Manhattan. Suddenly, in the system chat, the Ravens made their presence felt. Raven (Kamikazi) popped out of the WP to Man tradelane, and said "Hello LPI", "Engaging LPI", and "Die pig dog". I didnt last long against him in the Liberator. Not even long enough for the LN to come help. I recommend adding the Ravens to the Kill On Sight list. If we don't have a KOS list, please start one and add them to it.
This time when I ejected, I hit my head and required 15 stitches to the forehead.
Due to the late hours at which I patrol, I am often the only LPI officer on duty, so Effective Immediately, I am applying for the SWAT team.
Respectfully,

Today I was paroling Manhattan when a =CR=Case flew by with artifacts. I attempted to pursue and a Navy curser offered assistance, but he managed to hide on Manhattan. He has not paid his fine and I would recommend blacklisting.
Today myself, Officer O'brian, and Officer Sinclair entered Alaska to stop a fleet of ships commanded by a The Order and pirate forces. The Navy requested our presence and we where able to make a small contribution to the battle. I managed to chase an Order VHF out of the area, while the capitol ships engaged in a battle, resulting in a Liberty victory. Sorry for the vagueness, but I have orders not to disclose specifics of what I saw.
I would also like to request a position in the SWAT team as a bomber pilot. During the battle we had few bombers, and I feel I could help in this area by piloting the Havoc Mk II. Let me know what you decide.
Well, this day started pretty quietly, then all hell broke loose. There was a Order fleet massing in the **Deleted by LSF** system, myself and 2 other officers were asked to provide assistance to the Liberty Navy and the LSF. I am not allowed to say what we saw, but we performed admirably in helping to remove this menace to the Libertonian people.
Spent most of the rest of the shift doing smuggling interdiction, when the whole system went to red alert. Mon*star was spotted in the Texas system and was proceeding towards the New York system. Sergeant Smith took the California gate, I took the Colorado gate. We sent out warnings to the civilians and traders to dock or vacate the system, whilst the Navy went searching for Mon*star.
Mon*star taunted us in the system comms, but no one was able to spot him. It was eventually found that he had transited to the Colorado system. I never saw him, so he must have used a jump hole. I jumped into the Colorado system and broadcast a warning to the traders and civilians in that system to beware. I t must have had a effect, because the next thing we new, Mon*star had moved on to Kusari space.
After things cooled down from Mon*Star, the Chief came out to lead us troops. Quite an experience! The lull didn't last long though, Sergeant Smith and I were patrolling the Colorado system and answered a call back In the NY system. A USV vessel was under attack by West Point. When we arrived there were 2 Liberty Rogues attacking. We jumped into the fight; unfortunately, Sarge Smith was hit and went down. I continued the fight long enough to give the trader time to flee, then I disengaged. For some reason I was unable to damage the 2 ships... Hmmmmm
The Chief took some of the SWAT team to deal with the Rogues, I took time to restock my fighter. By this time Sarge Smith had his backup fighter ready, so we did a couple of more loops of Colorado, when Captain Claire took us to do smuggling interdiction in Texas. We sighted nothing and proceed to the California system where the Navy had 2 Outcasts cornered. We helped escort them to Cali Minor, where Wolves Defiance made a run for it and escaped. I seemed to recall from my trader days that there is a Jump Hole to ..Hmm... I think Texas where he was headed.....
We accompanied the Captain to the Magellan gate, where Oliver Hinds was shown the door and told not to come back. On the way back to Cali Minor, the Captain spotted a junker and ordered them to halt for inspection. She then spotted a Outcast (?) gunboat by the designation of Deltaco. He refused to cooperate, and was engaged. The Captain, Sarge Smith, and Officer Truman and myself all gave pursuit and damaging fire. Unfortunately for me, one of his mines erased my shield, followed by a second one that pierced the hull of my Liberator. I ejected, and Sarge Smith picked up my life pod. The bad thing about it was that Sarge Smith got hit too, so we both ended up floating back to Manhattan.
I am getting better at this ejecting thing, no injuries this time. My Liberator has been recovered and deemed salvageable. I should make my shift tomorrow no problem. I can't wait to get nuclear mines........
And the best part of the day was... I got accepted to the SWAT team! We need some more bomber pilots, so I am going to give it a try.... not bad for a double shift day.
Adendum: Many of the pirates and unlawfuls we met today expressed surprise that we were out in force today, and were competent. Gone is the old LPI, Long live the leaner, meaner, vigilant LPI!

It seems there isn't much I can say that hasn't already been covered by Officer O'Brian. In fact, he pretty much posted my entire darned report in his*. Other than that, I finally got that promotion I've been wanting, and I AM APPLYING FOR THE SWAT TEAM. With all the superheated plasma that got thrown my way today, I need to be able to dish some bigger flames back.

*Note to Hull, I'm buying you a drink for that. Thanks for saving me a long report.

Woke up this morning and started patrolling the Manhattan Docking ring looking for trouble and smugglers. There was a distinct lack of either. Sergeant Smith came on patrol and we started to make sweeps of the areas. Had to remind a lot of ships that parking is over by the LPI depots, otherwise parking tickets would be handed out.
I was contacted by a Zoner by the name of The.Grmlyn, who had witnessed an outcast attack earlier in the day and had rescued a number of military and civilian pilots. I contacted the LN and LSF, and found out who would retrieve said pilots.
Sarge Smith and I linked up with a LSF representative and flew to the Rio Grande in the Colorado system to assist with the transfer of Pilots. Very nice chap that Zoner. We flew back to Manhattan and transferred the pilots to medical to be looked at.
Next we spotted the Lane Hacker Phosphate hanging around Manhattan proper. He was warned to leave and scoffed at us. Many of the civilians and unlawfuls seem to be under the impression that we are still a bunch of donut eating morons. Imagine his surprise when Sergeant Smith, myself, and a few Liberty Navy fighters engaged him and that Freelancer Anthony Ryans. Ryans... There is a guy that needs <strike>fragged in his sleep</strike> to have a bounty put on his head and added to the KOS list. I had to disengage from the fight due to numerous Bounty Hunters showing up and getting in the way. Interspace Insurance would have had our heads if we vaporized a Bounty hunters ship. I worked the crowd, keeping them back away from the fight so no one would get hurt. Only 1 bounty hunter didn't listen and got vaped for it, his name is [Bounty Hunter]. Original I tell ya. Ryans dispatched him for interfering in his fight
Sergeant Smith was hit and out of action, but Phosphate met his end. Ryans fought his way to a draw and withdrew. I picked up the Sergeant and dropped his pod off at Fort Bush. I also dropped off [Bounty Hunter] at Fort Bush. As Sergeant Smith was launching in his back up fighter for us to go patrol Colorado, [Bounty Hunter] opened fire on Sergeant Smith and destroyed his ship! I tried to catch the ungrateful filth, but he engaged his cruise engines. I placed a system wide alert for his hide. Liberty Naval Units went searching for him.
An unconfirmed rumor has it the one of those A.D.M.I.N. apparitions may have had something to do with [Bounty hunter]s disappearing act, because we could not find him.
Took a short break for lunch, and relaunched. I was immediately notified of Xeno incursion into NY space. They were broadcasting their so called "Radio Free Liberty". The Navy mustered all Liberty Lawfuls at West Point. Sergeant Smith, myself, and Officer Hamilton(?) responded. The Navy needed a light fighter to do some recon work, and I volunteered. I recced Rochester, there was no one there. I then had a hunch and approached Detroit Munitions. Bingo! 3 Xeno Alliance fighters, one of them being Sidewinder himself.
Liberty Naval Forces and LPI Forces mustered in Manhattan orbit and proceed down the tradelane to Detroit Munitions. Boy were those Xenos surprised. The large capital ships stayed out of the fighting, but us fighters were fully engaged. None of the Xenos escaped.
Back to Manhattan to reload and restock. I needed a quick break after all that. Little Did I know what was yet to come.....
Shortly after the Xeno incident, word came from a number of traders that there was a large contingent of outcasts and Liberty Rogues operating in the California system. They were attacking traders, even destroying a couple. Again the Liberty Navy and LPI forces gathered at West point for an all out assault on these undesirables. Sergeant Smith, Myself, and Officer Hamilton (?) were asked to lend a hand. Ageira Lane Security-Charlie was even enlisted to help.
All ships jumped into the California system. The larger capital ships stayed behind, because the biggest thing the ruffians had was 1 gunboat. The one gunboat belonged to LR.Gunboat.Diplomat .
At this point we were joined by and lead into battle by Admiral Hale of the Liberty Navy. We concentrated all of our firepower on the gunboat, dispatching it rather quickly. Sergeant Smith knocked down another outcast fighter, but was hit and out of the fighting. Officer Hamilton (?) fell sometime later. I kept on fighting, determined not to have to eject today. In the end, all of the bad guys fell to our guns. I think I surprised the Admiral by surviving thru the fighting. I had no shield batteries left at the end, and quite a few scars to the skin of my ship. He called that fight "A Light Fighters Nightmare" and congratulated me on making it thru.
I reported for an extra shift tonight and launched from Fort Bush. A LN fighter needed assistance with a trader in an advanced train by the name of Jonathan.Leblanc. There is another guy that need to be <strike>fragged in his sleep</strike> added to our KOS list. He is already KOS by the Liberty Navy. I attempted to help stop and destroy this target. I got multiple hits with my Train Cruise Disruptor. He wasn't running anywhere quickly. I closed on the target, having to jink to avoid his fire. The target made a sudden turn and erased my shields in the progress at the same time as I had deployed a mine. This maneuver also caused my mine to track on me.
After all that I survived today, my own mine did me in. I had to eject.
Well, my ship was towed into Fort Bush; the mechanics tell me it isn't so bad. If I had Nuclear Mines, things would have been a lot worse. Mostly a few patches and it will be space worthy again.
Looking Forward to doing it again tomorrow.......

Started off my patrol at Fort Bush, looks like things are quiet. I started to make my rounds when I encountered Jonathan.Leblanc tonight. He was right up against Manhattans atmosphere. Also in orbit were ships on the Liberty Navy. I thought he was KOS to them..... Hmmmmm
We had a small conversation in which he said he was trying to apologize to the navy officer that he had fired upon when I came across them last night. I figured that at this point, if the Navy wasn't going to take action, I would just back off and get some more info on this situation.
I took a small break and relaunched into Manhattan's orbit. I saw on my scanners 1 Outcasts, Raven Entity. He was approaching Manhattan orbit. I ordered him to stop his ship, but like any bird brain, he didn't get the message. He attacked. These Ravens really need <strike>a grenade lollipop</strike> to be put on a KOS list somewhere.
He attacked me, and the fight was on. Somewhere along the way, Outcast Deltaco showed up. Both he and the Raven were both flying fighters. Well, I did my best, I was at a stalemate with the 2 of them after about 10 to 15 minutes. I had a Bounty Hunter by the name of Jake Logan offer his assistance. I am not ashamed to say that I took it. Mr Logan finished off the Raven, and Deltaco beat feet. I got caught with my pants down by one Raven, not again.
Mr Logan Escorted me to Fort Bush so I could repair and rest. I paid him out of my poket, he saved my a**. It's on me.
I am going to take a break and come back to finish my shift......
