As far as I know, the Guild Core have started to do more fighter/bomber raids, so you'll probably be seeing less of our capital ships and more of our fighters. At first, we brought our Gunships in and raided Gamma pretty easily, but then I think people began to think we were cap-whoring and began to fight back. When we brought those Gunships again, we got raped by 2 Dreadnaughts, 1 Cruisers, 2 Gunboats, 3 Bombers, and 5 Fighters ALL TOGETHER! I'm not exaggerating those numbers either...
When I became Field Commander the Guild Core, I was told to puchase a Gunship and immediately I became worried that people would consider us cap-whores, since I noticed that Ripper and Tic used their cap-ships often. Looks like I was right. Eventually, I learned about the cap-ships staying in the Omicrons, so I ended up using my GS only in Order/Corsair space as well. After reading this, I decided it's time to do some work with my fighter/bomber. Looks like Tic decided the same, since we've gotten some bomber/fighter raids scheduled now.

Quote:You know what I would suggest to stop being raped by the BH capships? Fight them.
Instead of complaining on the forum about it being unfair, make a stand as your faction would do in RP.
These forums are full of people complaining about this and that, yet they tend to do little action themselves.
What happened in Bretonian space when the LT-Corsairs started their invasions of Cambridge and New London? The Mandalorans, S/D Agency, and assorted Bretonian police and Navy forces gathered together and showed them that if you stuck your nose in, you were going to get it punched.
I'm NOT new to Role Playing or to Freelancer, but I am fairly new to multi-player.
I have one main BH character that has three ships available to him - a Manta, a Bomber, and a Gunship. Max is also a part of the S/D Agency, which I feel Athenian does an EXCELLENT job of running. (He's put a huge amount of effort into this, and it shows. Seriously - having a BH company (S/D), a trading company (APM) - and the RP for all of it shows the intent.) I submit that if you're not seeing BH players in fighters and bombers, then you're not seeing us in action.
With only a few exceptions, the S/D Agency doesn't even fly our gunships - and that's the biggest cap ship we have.
Quote: Our current corporate links mean that we have access to the following vessels:
Armoured Transports (2)
S/D-Provider [i]Fully operational ship for RP events (ProwlerPC - shared account)
S/D-Armoury Faction bank and weapons depository located at Sheffield Station (Athenian)
Prison Liner (1)
S/D-The.Doghouse Faction HQ (Space Station) located at New London orbit (Athenian)
Repair Ship (1)
S/D-Revolver Fully operational ship for RP events (Menthe - shared account)
GBH1 Gunships (3)
S/D-Stix
S/D-Surma
S/D-Scylla
All fully operational
Gunboat and Capital Class (0)
Bounty Hunter Destroyer, Bounty Hunter Battlecruiser and Bounty Hunter Battleship.
A construction of any large vessel requires a significant amount of resources and materiel. Notice must be given as far in advance as possible of a request for an addition to the fleet. Vessels of GBH3Orca class and over are for defensive operations only or secondment to the Guild Core in the disputed systems registering Nomad or Order presence only. Agents may not operate these vessels or larger without Directorate approval. Prove you can be trusted with such an expensive vessel first. Projected expansion of the fleet is classified.
Classified - meaning that until we need such a thing, we're not even going to BUILD anything bigger than an Orca - and we don't have one of those in the faction. (I personally do for another character, but that's another RP story...)
This whole server is about Role Playing. This does not mean that in a PvP situation, if it arises, that you are going to be in a fair fight all of the time, or even SOME of the time. It may mean that you end up getting your butt kicked. It may mean that when you decide to undock from a planet that someone VERY large happens to be there. Welcome to combat, people. The reason he's called the enemy is that he's going to (make a mess of) your nice battle plans.
Sure, this is a game - but it's a game based on a reasonable (!) extrapolation of what could happen. Those of us who have or had military experience know that there is, or never should be, anything remotely like a fair fight. You should be going into combat expecting to either kick the living snot out of the other guy - or expecting that you're going to get smeared so badly that it's not even funny - and hopefully if you've planned properly, you'll be in the first group.
Bounty Hunters as quasi-police, quasi-military, and quasi-mercenary. They're not officially police, because they don't work directly for the government. They work for pay. At the same time, in Sirius Universe terms, as a guild there are some organizations that are KoS. Everything else is subject to negotiation.
Quote:Affiliation, Diplomacy and Faction Diplomacy Status
The nature of our work means we are effectively allied with the police of all Houses. We do NOT engage individuals unless they are valid bounty targets. We reserve the right to defend ourselves.
We consider ourselves at war with the Order and will engage on sight any Order tagged and i.d.'d vessel.
All vessels shall carry a BH tag.
Core operatives must carry a BH Guard tag.
All vessels shall carry a Bounty Hunters' Guild identification card.
Allied (our principal clients are the lawful police factions of Sirius, although we may not always be contracted to work in their space) - RFP (no current contract); KSP (no current contract); BPA; LPI
Friendly (our secondary clients and associates are primarily the lawful military and trade factions of Sirius as well as independent factions that are neither strictly lawful or unlawful)- TAZ; RM; QCRF; CR; BMM; Synth Foods; RepEx; Gateway; LN; LSF; DW; SSO; IND; KOF; UOG
Neutral (Factions we have no reason to interact with yet or whose attitude is subject to negotiation, including all Kusari factions.)- KNF; AFA; Angels; JG; MM; TAZ; HG; Kishiro
Hostile (We are prepared to defend ourself but we do not initiate hostilities unless there is a contract open) - All unlawful factions and criminals - LR; XA; LH; HF; TBH; OPG; Benitez; Harvesters; holders of terrorists i.d.'s; SCRA; NLH; 101st; Phantoms; RoS; RHA; VF
Belligerent (We will attempt to destroy when a target of opportunity presents itself) - Bs; any Order I.D.'d ships; Das Wilde; Keepers; all bountied targets
In other words - guess what? If you as a Corsair or Hessian - or anyone else EXCEPT the Belligerent - if we see you in Liberty or Bretonian space, we'll fight you for the bounty. If we see you in the Omegas, we'll be HAPPY to just wave and say hi, because there's NOTHING IN IT for us. We don't like you, and we'll cheerfully kill you if we're getting paid for it - but out in the boonies - live and let live.

very well said buddy
Ive had enough of disco for now. I might be back at the next mod release.
They're the best bounty hunters I've seen, not the most successful in actually collecting Bounties perhaps, but when I think of what BH should be doing... they should be more like the S/D
