Once again Sid looks Victor and it seemed he gave the same answer...
"Ah, yes, I'm fine... don't worry..."
But this time he had other to say,,,,
"I was wondering what I should do now... if to propose my project one to superiors that I don't think that it will be approved or still continue to invest to the Oxford..."
The response confused Victor slightly, still progress was being made. Victor closed his book and set it aside, giving the Lieutenant commander his full attention.
Sid surprised about the fact that anyone was interested to an old project that he doesn't know if it will be taken on consideration by superiors. Happily he starts to explain:
Victor listened to what the officer had to say and was quiet for a time, thinking over Fire's plan before replying. ''Personally, I think it a good idea, yet I can see the problems that our superiors would. In order for it to go ahead, we would need to push our Gallic friends back further than they are. But please'' he motioned for the Commander to sit ''I am curious, tell me more if you wish''.
"Ehm... I don't have anything else about this yet!" Sid were surprised about the interest for a personal project. "But maybe I'll see to improve this project before to introduce it to the admiralty. I need just other tips and more people to act this!". He seemed positive
''Well you have my vote'' Victor said, ''Improvements are a good start as well, although I would recommend waiting until high command is in a.....more approachable mood, board meetings do tend to see tempers flare''
"This I know..." Sid replies. "We should concentrate to stay positive about raids on enemy frontiers. We are attacked from more fronts, corsairs and Hessians from south, Gallia from north, without talking about wars within that we have. I would advice various counter attack plans at least to hold off the rebels and to complete the Bretonia settlement in Omega-3. Only then we will manage to re-conquest Leeds and to inflict a hard hit against gauls!"
Sid looks his watch for a few moment, then he resume:
"I should return to Norfolk fleet, job calls. It was a pleasure talking with you."
''And you as well sir'' Victor replied, as the man left Victor returned to his book, picked up where he left off. Perhaps another would enter, he still had some time to himself.
Commander Arthur Cuttingham walked up to the door, pressed a couple of numbers on the keypad. A beep was heard and the door clicked. Arthur walked in, quietly, and closed the door behind him. He took a deep breath through his nose, and walked towards the bar. Arthur surveyed the menu above the bar itself, then went behind the counter and grabbed a small bag of English Breakfast tea and a mug.
"Nothing like English Breakfast," he said, as he smelled in the tea he had mixed in his mug.
He walked back to the lounge and sat down in one of the single person chairs.
Leftennant Commander Victor Steiner walked through the front door, he had the look of a man who was exhausted. His eyes were dark and his uniform was slightly crumpled. He walked over to the the bar and poured himself whiskey. He sighed and picked up a newspaper, reading the reports about leeds and wasn't exactly fun but there wasn't much else to do.
He sat down by the west window noticing another officer in the center of the room and nodded to him as he passed. Upon taking a seat, he sipped his drink and began to read.
