Oh, and can we please stop pretending there weren't any real world tests performed for the pre-patch Barge? I personally ran a few common routes and made anywhere from 1.5 to 2.0 times as much as a 5k could running the same route. And I really wasn't particularly good at flying the Barge. I want whatever people are having that claim a lane-capable wasn't just an enormous upgrade over 5ks.
I belive that your "performed tests" can be done with a slightly kind of comparable normal computer tests, where the Silicon lottery plays a significant factor ...
Isn't that the community don't trust on you, but, you give no clear evidence of such tests run, where and how they were handled, but only playing with a LAN server thing where everything looks "Normal" on a "Normal ID" well, it did not go as expected ... and yes it will depend of the system you are using it, like the test did on Battlecrusier Flaks? we don't pretend that were not any real world tests performed, but instead, we pretend that your way to see if something is broken or not is kinda ......... Awkward for "normal people" to understand why you bring such changes, you make the Barge not able to travel at 2.5K via TradeLines ... but are unwilling to see a small boost in maybe 10m/s that will reduce the current time bit a tiny 4% for moving the ship?
and let's be real, buffing the cruise speed by at least 10% will not make much, since to get outside House for example you have to pass along LOT of Rocks and Debris or a combination of both, so, i don't see any aspect where this "ship" can break the economy by a lot times, since is by proof that you can already move that cargo in less time than 5K
For example a Barge on Gallia, would only be useful in Gallia-Rheinland, anything outside will feel the harsh of Rocky places and the experience will be bad
A Barge in Bretonia probably get stucked in Bretonia, a Barge from Liberty can use the Liberty/Kusari thing, people in Omicrons are closed to such places ...
For really break the economy i should be able to travel and earn lot more than conventional 5Ker Fleets by a huge margin, something like will still be low due the Credits/Minute i will be making it ...
From Ille de France Jumpgate in Champagne to Zurich Gate taking a linear way at are like 52K~ or something like it (but let's suppose is 52K the amount the gates are apart if not)
at 25m/s~~ probably will take me 35 minutes just to pass that system ... with a 5Ker speed advantage i cover the same distance in less than 10 minutes
Now if we do the math in here ...
30K of goods moved in 35 Minutes vs 5K of goods moved in 10 minutes ... (At Impulse Speed)
At full cruise speed ... with the speed advantage
The 5Ker move the 5K Goods in 2.5~ Minutes ...
The Barge with his speed at 99 in 9~ Minutes ...
Keep with me because here is where it becomes nasty
The Barge can't use TradeLines, so his best bet is charge cruise engines and push all the speed (and it takes time to reach full speed anyways + time to charge cruise engines) his best time will be 9 minutes (actually longer but let's say we have insta cruise charging and insta full thrust in such condition, just plannar thing)
Since 5Kers are not restricted to use TL, i can move 5K along the system at 2500m/s in something like 20-30s~ from one side to another (And champagne is a kinda small system with 12.5K squares~~) //It have somewhere 17.5~ in diagonal valor or something like it
I can actually move such 30K with 5Kers Transports in let's say 6 Transports at 30~ seconds in the system using TL ...
180 seconds ... for 30K
in just full 3 minutes approximately i can move the whole 30K of Goods and done kinda same credits than with a Barge can do in triple or quadruple the time (because remember it takes time for everything) ...
To really break the economy the Barge should be like a Core 1 POB with Refinery and so other assets in portable mode ... plus have the ability to mine ...
So i mine ORE then using some refinery process so when i end mining and refine my ore, then i will have goods to actually deliver it and sell it in the selling point, That could be a real "ECONOMY BREAKER" ... but other things like that ... well, is just a huge transport that can have load of cargo, but that doesn't mean it will take advantages against other ships, it is just ... "A Hauler" ... and it cost slightly more than 3 Samura Liners (45~M ea) or even 15~ Bustards (3.7~M ea), or even 83~ Titanics (Most expensive 5Ker) ... [with in case a ridiculous amount of Titanics would do the 415K Cargo Space

Personally i don't belive that any route will yield me that thing of economy breaker if it takes me not less than 3 times above than moving just 6 transports ... (and this was only the "GO" double it and get the "BACK" (From Point A to B, but double it to get B to A)

I beg you to find a single community decision which stuck, or wasn't wildly nerfed or powergamed in an OORP manor to which it went totally against the community's roleplay/decision.
There are some really good eggs in the disco dev team.
Unfortunately, it's the loudest bad deveggs which ruin it for all.
