Quote:Rogues are so OP in pvp now it ruined the game for me, after seeing a rogue with only his 2 weapons trinkets neckles and cloak owning every other class i said F$(# this. Haven't played in 2 weeks since i started to play FL again.
Rogues arent that bad. A very well played/geared rogue can beat a lot of classes who dont know what they're doing.
Personally, since the burning crusade released I've never lost a 1 on 1 fight with a rogue as a feral druid. They dont stand a chance against me... but they're one of the few classes I can beat so reliably.
Quote:strong points and weak points im neutral more favoring SWG but cant play em cuz i cant affortd to pay
SWG isnt worth playing anymore, ever since sony put in that damned Combat 'upgrade' the game has been ruined. Like so many other MMO companies, they gave in to the whiners and tried to make the game easymode for everyone, and all they did was remove what little the game had going for it.
I loved SWG back before the CU, and I played it for almost two years. Went from dancer to fencer to TKA to pikeman to creature handler, and finally ended up as a dark jedi / master imperial pilot / bountyhunter (3xxx for hunting other jedi). The instant the CU was released, I quit.
Quote:Thank god someone see's WoW from my point of view. I quit WoW a few months ago after I heard about the new xpac with level 80 cap after releveling all my characters to 70 (6 characters) and now they expect me to level them to 80 too and re-do all that work? Pardon my french but...
...$%#@ that.
I used to have a bad case of 'altitis' - trying to create and work on too many characters.
Dont do it, you'll never get to the top content in the game if you try getting there with more than a couple characters. I only play one of my 70's actively anymore, my druid, and even I havent seen black temple yet (though i'm getting close).
' Wrote:I hate it, it's creating a generation of bad roleplayers. I blame it for the lack of creativity in my tabletop group. I love dungeon crawls as much as the next guy but they shouldn't be the be all and end all of roleplay. Down with WoW, and other similar MMORPGs.
I think you've nailed it on the head there. FL you have to use your head to roleplay. WoW = it's all done for you - no thinking about your char involved - all aimed at being the top pvp/pve. Roleplay is like sex. Your biggest asset is your mind. When you take the mind out of something, it becomes dead.
' Wrote:Again, people who are too stupid to not be addicted to WoW diserve to be shot. Those people have no self control and are doomed to be losers for life. I play the game avidly, but I don't let it rule me. I still play here and have fun with everyone else.
I think your opinion is too harsh. Addiction is subtle and sometimes chemical. Most addicted people are lonely. That's why they play "social" games. There's nothing "stupid" about it. Having no self-control is not about stupidity, it's a lack of training.
Sovereign Wrote:Seek fun and you shall find it. Seek stuff to Q_Q about and you'll find that, too. I choose to have fun.
' Wrote:Yep, the only way a Rogue is owning everyone is if they know how to stunlock. That's the main advantage of a rogue really. I do mainly play my rogue, just because I love the feeling of stealthing up on someone and ganking the hell out of them before they're able to get a single word out.
P.S. Tenacity, I've done Black Temple. Taken Illidan down three times before I deployed. Got one of the Warglaves;)but I deployed before I could get the other one. Illidan = Almost a god. Took us more than 20 tries the first time we took him on, that and we stayed up for almost 17 hours, went through almost a full group cycle because people kept giving up...I stayed through it all though;)
heh, rogues cant even kill me in a stunlock anymore, now that barkskin can be used while stunned and the second I get into bear form they go from weak hits to picking the fleas off my furry backside with those monstrous swords.
Anyways... I'd love to get into black temple, but I just dont have the time or patience for it. I dont like dealing with the elitist guilds on my server, or any server for that matter - they make raiding a job, and it isnt fun when they turn it into such.
Right now the guild I'm in is more of a family oriented guild, so they arent hardcore raiders... but we do a half dozen raids a week and we've cleared SSC/TK, now working on hyjal. Honestly since I picked up freelancer again a month or two ago I havent done a thing in WoW.
But I'm starting to do dailies again for cash, I'll need a few thousand gold in reserve for my deathknight once WOTLK is out.
I go beween this game and WoW all the time, if i get burnt out on one i go to the other. I have a lvl 62 dwarf warrior on the U.S. realm of zangarmarsh. that and like 8 other toons aswell. but i jump guiilds alot. I'm not much one for kids and there omg, lolz, lmao, roflcopter ways, i hate that and those stupid ways they make words shorter like wut and wit and wer. makes be want to pull out captain grammer
I've never played WoW but my mate does, and another mate used to play SWG for a long time (now he plays warhammer online. He got invited into the Beta). I've seen them playing both for a long time, and while i had a quick go, neither hold much interest for me because they are so limited in scope.
The roleplay is crap and hardly any thinking is really done on the part of anyone in either game. I prefer to be able to conquer entire planets, build cities etc. I suppose i'm more of a strategy/simulation game player anyway. Either way, not enough scope for me to get interested;)
Been pondering about getting a subscription, maybe i will. Warcraft is amazing ( both the rts and mmorpg), alot of people have strong hate for it, but it really is a beautiful game in terms of gameplay and story. However it does take a while, to get around, and rise in level, like most mmorpgs..
Played on a private server for a while, got bored and stopped. I wouldjoin you though, if i do decide to get WoW.
