Size =/= Power

I think there are numerous Corsair Osirises that would prove you otherwise, along with various other caps.

Caps can be powerful, when they are flown well, and as part of a balanced fleet. Lone capital ships die very fast unless they have a rather good pilot, but a fleet with capital ship support is infinitely more powerful than a fleet without it, especially if said caps happen to be packing Solaris and BRs.

IMO, anyone who says caps are useless is just as ignorant as someone who says caps are godlike/the only good ship type.

Not everyone who uses a Capship is a newbie. Many enjoy them for various reasons. RP, Survivability (have you tried surviving in Nomad space in a fighter? it can be challenging if you aren't paying full attention 100% of the time)

Also some people simply aren't good with fighters. I personally am bad with fighters, not only because of skill level but my dialup internet makes me lag too much to use a fighter properly.

I’ll carry this flag
To the grave if I must
Because it’s flag that I love
And a flag that I trust
