You don't have a choice in the matter. Neither do we. Cannon put the ID's on your base. If it was anywhere else, we'd be sending them a message. Neither of us have the luxury of finding alternatives.
Our message has to have a firm "This is what we're doing" because you really have no option of saying no anyway. The ID's are there, like it or not, and our Indies will use your base to get those ID, again like it or not.
Now, we need to RP in order to explain why our ID's are there, why your base will be home to plenty of Indies and so on. Again, this is how it's going to be simply because that's where our ID's are. There is no room for negotiation because even if you said no, the Coalition are absolutely forbidden, our indies will still go to your base and still get the ID from that base.
I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I'm simply trying to get the point we've been trying to make get across clearly.
This is a messy situation now, and it would be a messy situation in the future when the administrator popped up outside his station and demanded we all move away.
Of course it sounds iffy, it's meant to. The Coalition aren't in the business of simply asking for something - And be told flat out no. It is better to ask for forgiveness than permission in our line of work.
Which is exactly what's happened here. Our ID has appeared on the Boa Vista base. OK - So we need to deal with it, how/why/etc. I've done that the best I can. I understand Soban is French and I now have Lanakov (French/English speaker) talking with him to try and explain and resolve this situation.
THEN you think you are god to write other RP.
Their is no option because ?
The Indy can come but as I said Rh have done something same with fp1 everycody was happy, here i see an unilateral claim.
so you want war Here it come.
I am not looking for a war Soban. If you read the reply I have posted to your flat refusal, I am trying to mitigate your concerns.
There is no other option because the change has already taken place. Boa Vista Station is being used to sell our ID - It's the closest neutral station.
And again - I have not claimed your station. I've merely stuck a recruitment centre on there, and I'm willing to compensate you for that.
Now - We are trying to set up a room with you, us, and Lanakov to discuss this further. I do have to go to sleep shortly.
What I will say is: Don't go starting a war over something that cannot be changed (unless the admins do something). The Zoners are heavily intent on staying neutral. I am not interfering with your way of life, or your character. Sure there's a curveball in the works - But I am trying to work this out yeah?
Let's cut the stupidity immediatly over this garbage
SCRA can't enforce anything on bases that aren't Coalition bases. This won't change, can't change, and moreover you can't do it because the rules are so. Rules are the ultimate answer to all question.
They can only work toward an agreement with the faction representative of the npc faction that holds this station. If the zoner official factions (which I believe in the current case, gave authority to the one behind the boa vista station account) refuse, then you can't anything. However like you said, there should always be room for roleplay. But trying to enforce yourself in will only generate negative answers.
Soban, from an inRP I can understand your point, as you were not asked about the whole thing.
BUT: The reason for all this was an OORP decision by the admins to put the indie SCRA ID on Boa Vista. And now Haggis just tried to give you an inRP reason WHY this happened.
Neither you nor him did have an power to decide a thing about it.
Of course I can't enforce anything over the station. I do not have that right.
However does this gentleman have the right to stop Freelancers from docking on a station, obtaining our ID, and flying off - to suit his own purposes?
I started the RP thread to gain an inRP purpose for our ID being on Boa Vista. The thread was aggressive. The Coalition are an aggressive bunch of people. We take first, say sorry later. We would have only have appeared "weak" if we had asked first. I do have to "enforce" to a degree, but there is always room for diplomacy.
The thread was started as a way to incite diplomacy while still explaining why we're already there.
So, if this gentlemen refuses - Bounty's us - Declares all Zoners to go to war against the SCRA.. What do you think will happen? I certainly know.. but a month or two later, Our ID will still be there and the backstory will still need to make sense.
I think the issue is that instead of asking for it, there was simply said "we are now suddenly all over your station, deal with it"
I'd also like to point out that in the reply to the original transmission. The boa administrator stated "BOA is and WILL BE administrate by zoner. SCRA can hold an office."
So I dun see a problem really. An office instead of an entire floor is the solution. No need for further problems.
