I seen RP of intent of claim so far and I've seen RP from other side saying no. So far so good. Reminds me of GMG| poking Samura at Kurile with the intention of shaking things up. Keep in mind I never once expected to gain Kurile and planned on it failing, I did want to lure out that throne ship an see if it could be dropped but failed that too.....but...it was one epic furball. I've seen RP statements in that thread made by both sides and logical to either sides RP. Ultimately I see no indication that it's not going to be a Zoner base unless there is something I missed or perhaps something the devs forgot but I also see no reason to believe RP claims aren't inRP for both sides as well. It made perfect sense for Kusari to attempt claims in Okinawa and at Aomori and it made perfect sense for GMG to assert it's sovereignty. These things are a fun distraction from the usual ho-hum but I hope in the end there will be a plan set forth to bring it back to normal. A Zoner base with SCRA presence.
' Wrote:Of course it sounds iffy, it's meant to. The Coalition aren't in the business of simply asking for something - And be told flat out no. It is better to ask for forgiveness than permission in our line of work.
That's where you went wrong. You claimed a portion of the station and stated flat out that's how it will be. You should have asked and then avoided the mess.
' Wrote:I think the issue is that instead of asking for it, there was simply said "we are now suddenly all over your station, deal with it"
That's how I see it too. s FP1 was pointed out earlier I'll mention that NONE of the factions that have embassies on the station claimed such. They were either invited to do so or asked for it. Corporations also lease space on the station for their RP. They *asked* and we role played it and they have offices there. Any non-zoner faction that claimed a part of the station without asking first would receive a quick and painful boot. SCRA seems to do a lot of "piss people off first and think about it later". You guys need a LOT more communication within your HC.
' Wrote:It was an oorp decision from the dev team, treat it as such I think. Don't overcomplicate it, it's just docking to a station, grabbing the id and flying to coalition territory which is just next to there. I
Thank you. It could have been just left alone and dealt with in that fashion, as an OORP method of getting the ID. The SCRA does not need to have an entire level of the station or even an office just to have someone dock a freelancer CSV, pick up the ID and move on to O52 for their ships and guns.
' Wrote:Being able to dock and buy an ID (that was only put there because there was nowhere else to put it) =/= being able to force the people that RP that station to submit to your RP.
+1
' Wrote:Powergaming complete take over even just part of this station will attract negative attention. Not only its administrator but may cause yet another zonerzonerzoner period. Poor form.
Suggestions how to fix/avoid this were mentioned before but my personal suggestion is to leave placement of ID as OORP means to set new Coalition characters up.
Good Job, you posted on something that has already been resolved. Now, unless you have something actually useful to say, I suggest you go on about your business.

Could have said the same without the crappy you suck wording.

Oh yeah, gee, such a horrid thing to post on a current discussion. So sorry I was in skype and in game trying to help resolve the issue caused by the SCRA idiocracy.

Jenni.
Before you start running around stating that you were trying to resolve the situation and being a good little Zoner - I remind you that bringing in FP1 warships to defend the station is actually inflaming the situation. A situation which in no way whatsoever involved FP1. A situation which in no way whatsoever involved you.
I understand that people need to have their fix of "oh look what I've done", but last night - a solution was found involving Soban, Myself, Joey and Lanakov. That couldn't have been done without patience, an abundance of calm and by not inflaming the situation further.
We were in no way idiotic. We followed a new line of RP which developed as a result of the ID change. A line which, following this drama, may have been better off left be. However, I strongly feel it was needed - in order to explain a backstory. This has now worked out, and everyone is the better for it. Much needed activity is being brought to Omega-50 now.
The Coalition doesn't *ask*. To do that would show weakness. We take and ask for forgiveness later. If this seems "wrong" to you, remember that we are a faction which has the ultimate goal of blowing every military to pieces and installing our own socialist governments. We are an ultra aggressive people, but we (the people behind the characters) are not morons. I will listen to diplomacy, to reason and to resolve a situation you need those things. We have a perfectly capable and talkative HC. We all chime in, and we're all singing from the same hymn sheet.
This is our faction. This is how we do things.
If you don't like it, I respect your opinion however - Tough. It will have no bearing on how we roleplay in future.
Now, I will talk no further about this on here, as I will only be repeating myself. I thank everyone for their mostly constructive feedback. If anyone wishes to talk more about this, catch me on Skype.
