Yet another contradictory example of a faction's non canon RP opposing the freedom of individuals those who will reject to obey it.
People should be allowed to base their operations out of anywhere they wish, as long as they manage to stay in the bounds of fair RP.
Now some Rogues can't see why using Alcatraz as a base of operations would stir up trouble for LR. And I don't feel like blaming them just because they don't want to be forced out of somewhere that is legal to operate in whether in a cap ship or not.
Basic problem here is the contradicting motive of the RP directive which clashes with the practicality of permitting or denying a person to individuate himself on a personal vendetta.
We should also keep in mind that most of the RP directives followed by factions have a similar tendency. The ones concerned with guard systems however are less likely to cause trouble while the others are more prone to public discussions.

And public discussions is what makes this server and forum interesting. (as long as it doesn't turn to something else...)
We'll as far as i see it, it was not Del's intention to restrict indy RP. So this in not really a Faction VS indy or Admin VS player.
I don't see why someone would mind such roleplay, if all they do is advise you not to dock you can either RP to be ignorant of their warnings (not ignore them! by all means...that would be wrong) or accept their point of view.

So why enforcing such a rule in the first place ? For the lulz? I just don't get it. As far as I'm concerned, you can only fully control the bases that you actually bought - and those are mostly guard bases. And even if I had my own guard base, I wouldn't be so selfish to limit its docking just to my own faction.

There is no problem with this really. You can RP your way out of it, just don't be a jerk and say 'I don't care, you can't boss me around, factions suck, blah blah'.
What's the big problem, I do not really see.
The big phenomenon with disco is that everyone argues for the sake of arguing, and mostly not because they have valid points.
The only problem I perhaps see is this, if Alcatraz is not a guard base. And even then, it's a dilemma.
Quote:2. Alcatraz Depot is off limits to all vessels not carrying the LR- name tag at the beginning of the ship's name. The LR- Fleet is stationed there and further vessels strain Alcatraz's ability to cope.

Im getting away from the subject but i have read some stuff about Destroyers docking in destroyers or very small base etc.
I think there should be some real rules to put serious restriction on Cruisers and Battleships, that way all those powertraders buying big ships would be forced to aleast do the minimum RP, and would prevent them from trying to be PVP-Whore.
OK, read about 3 pages of this all told, it seems to be just repeating itself. One thing I'd like to ask (Jumping on bandwagons = win) is how, exactly this can be enforced without going "I'm an admin, bite me."?
They park on Alcatraz.
You get irritated.
They don't leave.
Then what?
Shoot them? - Enforcing non-canon RP.
Force them with sanctions? - Admin abuse.
Convince them? - If they refuse, then what?
