Well, our group are justice-enforcers towards the fundamentalist area, might even go so far as to say we are fanatics. In Role-Play, to join our group you must go through a series of trials to prove that you are worthy of our cause. See it as some sort of knighthood. We are not doing this for profit, we are not doing this for ourselves, we are doing it because we believe it is our duty. That is the best explaination I can give you about our group.

Sure, they need funding? What makes you think they don't have it via other sources?
We will Role-Play that we get funded from private sectors who share our ideologies but due to their current positions are not able to "officially" support us. Take for example a rich merchant who works for the IND. This merchant agrees with our opinions on how Liberty should be run from the lawful perspective and understands as well that alot of corruption coupled with incompetence is present in the current Police Force and perhaps even in the Navy. But if this merchant tries to openly debate about it and attempts through "physical means" express his opinion, it will harm his business dearly. So what does he do? He instead turns to us, who he has perhaps found out about through various rumors going on lately across all Liberty. So the merchant secretly fund us "under-the-table". That will be our main source of income, to keep on going.
In other words we are dependent on outside sources to carry on with our objectives and maintain the stability of our group. But since we have mutual interests with powerful figures across Sirius, the economical aspect of our group is not an issue. We are still working on the story, but I will make sure to mention at least one of these sources.

this sounds strange.
Perhaps I phrased it wrong, but what I meant by "under-the-table" deals from outside sources is basically people who do not wish to officially be shown for supporting our group due to the risk of being thrown to prison or ruining their own business. Meaning, people who share our ideologies and wish to help us but don't desire publicity for doing so.
And what's this "unclear operations" you are talking about? I didn't mention anything about operations of any sorts, all I was talking about is how we got funded.
"under-the-table" deal is always unclear operation especially if it takes the risk of being thrown to prison or ruining own business.
but forget. I didn't want to mess in your idea. Generally I like it.

Let me try to be a little bit clearer.
Say Mr. X is a business man who works in Liberty.
Mr. X finds out about a group called the Hale's Angels and what they do. He agrees with their opinions about Liberty.
Mr. X wants to help Hale's Angels. But if he do, the lawful authorities in Liberty might throw him in prison for supporting a group which are considered criminals.
What does Mr. X do? He secretly gives us funds "under-the-table" in order to avoid detection from lawful forces and yet manages to support us.
There is nothing that is in conflict with our "justice ideology" here...

You really really need to read up on other factions. There are already groups that do this for one another.
Group A funding Group B 'under the table/secrectly' so Group C doesn't find out in no way makes Group A's operations unclear.
