Here is one with a background too. It needs some fixes in Discovery logo / Opacity / Fade / Systems light and shadow direction etc. It will be fixed when the map is finished with the zoi.
Quote:(KNF in Tau-23)
"Tau-23 neighbors Kyushu and has had Kusari patrol traffic in the past. It is still within the ZOI even though Kusari has ceded police authority to Gallia."
In hindsight there are actually KNF patrolls at the Kyushu gate, so the Kusari ZoI stripe should be returned. My bad.
Edit: Wait, I was thinking of Tau-29. I keep my original stance that there is no KNF presence. They have no way of accessing the system. The Jump Hole is swarming with Outcasts and GC on each side, and using the Gate/Lane path would be a direct violation of the peace treaty with Gallia. They may have been there in 4.85, but they're gone now.
' Wrote:Ursus, it is a house system, it is just not a house system by rules.
Rules are RP so if you can't treat it like a house system it's not a house system. It's a BW system that is contested by Liberty. This is why we have the split dot, and that should be used in this case too.
' Wrote:You're talking about geography in space? Irrelevant. Proximity does not necessarily imply ability to impose authority.
ZOI is not about the RP interaction, it is about whether or not RP interaction is even possible in a system. If a faction stays out of a space because they have negotiated a deal, or because the home faction will kill them on-sight, then that is a layer of interaction that can only happen because the ZOI allows the two factions to come into contact at that place. This is what ZOI defines, and what the map should reflect: where is interaction possible.
I'm not responding to all of your comments, just a couple that highlight the above
Quote:(Tau-117)
It neighbors Newcastle which is a core house system, so it is within the ZOI. Wild come and go through that connection, and while the Bretonians haven't exercised their option to do so the option is there for them to come and go as they choose.
I'm pretty sure only the Wilde know where the Jump Hole is inRP. Even if the BAF or BIS went in there, it would be a death sentence.
Then don't go there. But the ZOI gives the option, not the lore.
Quote:(KNF in the Sigmas)
Neighbors to Honshu, core house system
The GMG signed a treaty with Kusari essentially securing certain parts of the Sigmas in proximity to their bases as their own sovereign territory. This applies for these two systems, and is why Sigma-17 is a Samura hot-spot - they're trying to muscle in on the Sigma region's resources... Debatable.
The presence of a treaty proves that both sides have influence over the system. If the RP says "dont go there" then that is something that can be resolved in RP, but the map should not say it.
Quote:(BAF in Omega-5)
It neighbors against Cambridge which is a core house system. BAF players go there all the time, pushing Corsair attacks back to their rock.
Those are raids launched into regions outside of a faction's ZoI. There is a saying about the best defence... Omega-5's geopolitical balance has remained much the same since vanilla.
Corsair ZOI includes core Bretonian systems (Cambridge), and Bret ZOI includes all of the systems that touch house systems (Omega-5). This is fully proper, and is likely to shape future lore.

Neighbors Koeln
Hostile Guard system. Enough said.
Yeah my mistake here. Duesseldorf is EW with no Rheinland influence.
I was away for a few days and couldn't work on the map.

So no KNF in Tau-29.. Ok.
Quote:Nice job.
I like the one with the JH cords. Can be useful sometimes when needing some cords while getting chased. Datastorm can be so slow.
Thank you. This is why i made this map.
I still need more info to finish the map. Ursus and Echo have different opinions about the zoi in these systems:
KNF in Sigma-19 and Sigma-13.
BAF in Omega-5 and Tau-117.
Anyone else who is 100% sure about the above systems? I hope the rest systems are correct.
