From my perspective even from the very start you had large ships that have difficulty dodging going ahead/breaking formation and making targets of themselves. This kind of resulted in your main fleet being whittled down until DTR could just push in with superior numbers, I think.
Formation is easier for DTR ofc, they have the station to rally around. A lot of your cruisers and I think all of your gunboats over the course of the fight also broke off to shoot the Reavers and weren't supporting the main fleet, so the Corsairs' smaller ships kind of had free reign to deal damage while their larger ships didn't have any gunboats/cruisers dealing damage to them.
Keeping formation may be easier with the pob deshielding less of a factor though. Just try and stay a little tighter and cover each other, is a good start.

I am playing this game for a couple of years and I am pretty sure if there's a Siege/Siege event it must have some drama, so better log attacking side and harvest Corsairs.
I'm going to share my own experience from yesterday. It's a personal and subjective opinion, of course, and I don't intend to convince anyone that I'm more right than others.
From my point of view the battle was quite disappointing for the Outcast-Zoner side. I'm very aware of the fact that I'm not even remotely a good PVP player, and I honestly don't care that the Reavers slaughtered me in a few seconds. I didn't go into battle thinking I would do well because I know my limitations in PVP, and I didn't really care about losing the fight. I just wanted to have some fun because the battle was according to my faction's RP. However, I was disappointed by the fact that I think the Outcast-Zoner side never had the slightest chance of winning.
Just before starting the fight from our side we already saw that the numbers were close to 27 to 20 in favor of the Corsair, although that alone does not have to be decisive, battles have been won with a worse numerical disadvantage. Then we saw the range of the cruiser-POBs and it also surprised us, because they were capable of reaching our ships from 10k away. To top it off, the Reavers also arrived to support the Corsair side and the battle began to look like suicide. Finally we saw that the cruiser-POBs not only had a range of 10k, but also eliminated the shield of our caps in one fell swoop.
The result of the battle was a massacre for the Outcast-Zoner side, but taking into account that there were quite a few people on the Corsair side who, before connecting, were saying in this same thread that the battle was very unbalanced against them, and that it would be like hunting ducks, it is very curious that the result has been exactly the opposite.
I'm not saying that the Outcast-Zoner side fought very well and we still lost. The truth is, I don't have much idea about massive battle strategies, and I'm sure we made a lot of mistakes, starting with myself. What I'm saying is that before starting the battle, when we saw what we had in front of us, on our side the idea that we all had in mind is that it was already a lost battle. That is very sad and takes away a little bit the desire to continue playing the event. I also think this is why all this drama has been created, and why there are so many frustrated people. It's normal to get frustrated when you're offered a competitive event where there doesn't seem to be any chance of winning.
I've no intention of getting into the drama, assigning blame, or hurling accusations at the staff of taking sides and rigging the event. That's useless and only serves to generate more tension and bad feelings. The only thing I'm going to do, is ask the staff to do what they have to do, so that the event is more balanced and not absolutely frustrating for one of the sides.

Well I really like and respect you a lot your POV. Its fair, and its respectuouse. But the battle was even in numbers and skill level. We did the numbers and was 33 on outcast+zoner+core side and 32 on corsair+FL side. I have to say that the battle developed really bad because a 3 main strategic failures that caused the total collapse of the lines.
Also, I see the feeling is mutual, we were also a bit scared watching that giant fleets is really impressive for sure.
Core was also told to engage oc's and corsair, but as expected, mainly engaged corsairs. And zoners are really expected to engage corsairs, since, well, they declared war on them.

All a matter of perspective isn't it? It's easy to assign blame when defeated and even more so to sit on a high horse in victory.
Not saying that's the way it is, but I'm under no illusion that it also couldn't be the case.
Regardless, feedback is feedback. Let it happen. Those with the means can filter through what's relevant to address and what's not.
