I don't see the big deal of people taking "advantage" of a good trade route before the mod changes in the next version . . .
I know many players who made enough credits to buy a system on the planet Harris thing. . . (but for some reason I always hated that one . .. boring for me)
I used the diamond/niobium route a few times. The boredom nearly made me give up trading permanently.
That said, Diamond/Niobium still didn't earn anything near the 600 credits/sec like the Synth Paste bug, so there seems a lot of difference and therefore room for interpretation between the two.
These kinda rules are "opening rules" to create the white page an administrator, law enforcer needs to have to operate.
Like "Admins have the right to sanction" gives the Admin the room to work on an event and see if its sanctionable or not. This is open for abusing but anything is actually open as well.
This rule is like those first 1-2 lines of the national laws that each country has. Like "Bla bla is a democratic monarchy" as if the citizens don't know about it. But in truth, in a legal case, it gives the prosecutor to use this as his/her opening ground.
Like;
"bla bla bla you will be sanctioned now because of this"
"you cannot sanction me because I dont have anything stated in rule bla bla"
"according to rule 1.2, I have right to administer judgement on you because your actions has disturbed the server gameplay"
and this goes.
What disturbs me more is this about the rules;
"No you cannot see the evidence put against you unless the sanction reporter agrees on".
Ermm, sorry but it is total BS (bull... ermm battleship).
This is actually something that OPENS way to lots of lots of abuse options. I know some of the admins and they are all cool people, lovely to talk to them and befriended etc. but this doesnt change the fact that this is such an open issue regarding personal abuse and revenge or plotting on someone.
This game system is not a republic, yes, but monarchy can have democracy in it.
Hmm i kinda don`t like this rule because there is too much players with "Connections" with Admins or at least they know someone who is "Good" with `em...
Better way to stop players using holes in server rules is to make more rules which will patch that holes...
This new rule kinda scare me to interact with anyone...So i guess it suck if ya ask me...And i know that none is asking me so there is no point of this thred, until someone make batter server than this one we can all take it or leave it and accept every rule our great gods put on our head...

I hated trading but I could bear with the Tau-31 Harris traderoute. I still felt it was a bit too long for me so after it was taken away I gave up trading and went into the "Beg-for-money" business. Turns out I made a wise choice olol.
' Wrote:Ok, I'll change that ... You will stay out of Liberty please, or we invoke rule 1.2. There will be no further
discussion concerning that now.
(That is not the whole quote, the rest of refers to the sanction, and you are advised to read the whole thread before developing any opinion on that sanction.)

Anyhoo, after 5 pages of this, all I can see is a complaint without any solutions offered.
(Oh, & for the record, what does this mean? This post is the only post I made in here so you didn't quote me at all...but I did notice that you misquoted Cannon by changing the color of his text from yellow to green...why?)
That could have been done under the insulting rule.
It was meant to be a clarification and discussion thread. (When and if it's purpose changes the people in the thread will be alerted.)
It means you posted with an alternate.
Cannon's post went from green, to purple to yellow.

Stile: how do you propose we cover every single eventuality with a rule? People complain about there being to many rules now, I shudder to think of how many rules there would be then.
Actually, there could only be one rule and the effect would be the same as having all those path-rules. Rule 1: No playing on the server.

1. Actually, no. Sexual harassment goes far beyond simply being insulting, it enters the realm of disturbing & dehumanizing. It did indeed harm server gameplay, & since there's not an extra few pages of rules explaining what is or isn't dehumanizing, it was, in fact the best choice to base the punishment on.
2. A discussion of a rule that is concerning enough to create a thread about while remaining vague about the reasons that led to the creation of the thread, giving the general impression that something that ain't broke suddenly needs fixing...without offering solutions to the perceived 'issue' really just smells of complaining.
(I'm still thinking of a way to word that part of the rule better, in order to try to sound more accommodating to people, but the reality of the situation is, there is no way to please everyone in a community as large as this one & imho it's already worded just fine as it is)
*3. (minor issue- relegated to the bottom)
4. Alright, if it the text was green before the yellow when I saw it, then "Oops...my mistake."
*3. What it actually means is that you assumed that I posted under an account that is not me in any way, shape or form & does not breathe the same air...Now, I can understand why you would jump to the wrong conclusion because of some major longtime collaboration in our RP, so "Oops...your mistake." but it's OK to make mistakes:yes:
