Apparently, Dead Space and Fear 2 are very scary. I say nuts to them. I say, go back and play the first 2 Silent Hills. I never even made it past the first few minutes in Silent Hill 1.

In other news, much more relevant to the thread, I would like to nominate Bioshock. After you get used to it its just plain fun, but being one of the first games ive ever played with graphics of that level I just though it was "too real" at first. Eventually i calmed down and enjoyed a great game. Also...Pacman....nuff said
Oh, yes I am... The topic of the game's scariness.

Dude, your ego does not fit into this thread.
Dude, gtfo?
PS. F.E.A.R. is way better than F.E.A.R. 2 IMHO.
1. Submachine is not in any way shape, or form scary... It's a freaking escape the room puzzle game!
Other 2: Meh
On the topic... I agree with Bioshock being scary at the begining, when you get out of the first bathysphere and theres that splicer running around. And with Fear > Fear 2 Also, anyone ever heard of the Haunted House mod for Oblvion?
Vampire the masquerade: Bloodlines..... The ocean house quest especially scary
And doom 3
Yeeesss! the hotel in Bloodlines was effin' oozing with the creepy factor & I replayed the entire game simply because I wanted to re-experience that area. But I still say the Silent Hills I & II take the cake cause they were specifically designed to not scare, but to disturb on an instinctual level. Those that consider Ravenholm (although pretty creepy-cool) in HL2 or anything in Doom as scary, for example, are just lightweights that don't know what the hell they are missing:P
First time i played Doom 3 the game starts very nice , you land on Mars everything is going on normal but people keep saying about others who keep disapearing. xD
After all this I`ve been sent to the underground to find a guy. After I found him, the nightmare began after the cutscene with the guy xD the hell came to eat the UAC base. I simply stopped moving, also in the same time can be heard on transmissions around the base " We going to die ARGHH " " FIRE " STOP THEM "" NOOO!"" AGHGH *Static* " gun shots BOOM " also the base started shacking and many other things. So far Doom 3 was the best.
' Wrote:I remember mine being a Point-and-click. I don't remember it very well, but it was during that obscure fad of FMV games. I really can't remember what the title was, but I remember that it was about that guy who goes with other people in the woods, and get bit by a wolf... either he gets bit on the throat (Dead) or either it's on the arm, where you can keep on the game.
The dead scene was a tombstone with a wolf howling once in a while... *Shudders*
Also, Phantasmagoria 1 and 2. Another FMV game.
That game you can't think of the name is probably The 7th Guest
Personally maybe I'm a dead soul or something but artificial things don't scare me, seeing real death as a child kind of puts things in to perspective. Or mayby I am just messed up, when I was 8 all the kids were going to see Problem Child and Jetsons the Movie, I had my grandfather take me to see Child's Play 2.
