Is it always on that hardcore mode, because that would be a win.
So basically it's like Fallout 3 (2). Gameplay hours?
NV is Fallout 4, not a mod for F3. It was just said that there is a mod for F3, which "imitates" what will be the "hardcore" mode in NV - have to eat, drink, can't carry 20'000 rounds of ammo around in your pocket and so on.
Gameplay hours. Who knows. Even F3 is like 10-250 hours to get trough, once, hehe. That's what's so lovely, the freedom.

All is well, the trees may not be green but it's a nice stable game.
Install a mod.
ARGHHHHH FOR THE LOVE OF HADES WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!? IT'S BURNING, ALL OF IT! THE CRASHES, THE CRASHES!
The game can be stable but it seems even with minor changes, that ought to make no real difference to stability, it has hissy fits, just like FL.
Actually, doen't matter if you mod or not (oh, what a poem), it's just that the engine glitches (resulting in crash-freeze), because it has a serious problem with 90% of tri and quad core proccessors (among other things, like having more than 2gb DDR - threatens stability and makes the game run slower on occassion, for example). Bethesda never really fixed it tho. Great game, but they kind of forgot about the technicall part. Instead of fixing it, they made community manager "officially acknowledge the issues".
Mods can break it as well, but not if you are carefull and know what you are doing. No mockery meant here. You just have to watch what are you "playing" with. While modifiing "that" file twice may cause that item will have wrong texture, in other case you may just screw the whole game stability. Also it's good to watch the order of instalations... both for mods and other official contents. I'm using over 40 mods at once, even self-made (yes, and that's dangerous!), swich some often and yet everything is smooth as a smoothskin.
