submitted it without a name, - i m not so good at names. - a name that would make sense is "isis" since she s the "god-mother" - but that one is taken by orillion for the original osiris. - maybe igiss ( in case he likes the design ) names it after some other god. - the old agyptians had hundreds of them, enough room for plenty of ships.

Hathor Is the god of birth and fertility, she was also a fearless warrior, I think this is the most reasonable name since the Hathor will metaphorically "give birth" tho the fighters that she carries in her womb (ok, docking bay...same thing really).

well... and i thought the original osiris is the "isis" at minor. - but anyway.. hathor sounds OK, too. who knows if it finds its way into the mod anyway - and then we can still think of an appropriate name.. . more important is what he makes out of it. ... full blown lvl10 turrets or like suggested lvl9 turrets. - from how it flies through asteroids, it ll have a great advantage compard to the liberty carrier ( or how its supposed to become ) - on test runs, i could switch autopilot on in alaska and hit the shards only three times on my way to the jumphole. - in minor itself i was easily able to fly though the rocks - a feat that a lot of other battleships have problems with... mind, you don t want to TURN around though, cause then things become a bit more ugly due to its length.



combined with corsair cruisers, it would make a nice battlegroup though for assault attacks on distant locations, even without the escort feature ( igiss made clear that we won t get that feature ) - so, its "only" another capital ship - we shall see how much it fits in.



ps.: i can aswell reclassify it and say that the 4 tubes are no launch tubes, but 4 guns of doom!!! - and add 4 torpedomounts inside - so it can fire 4 supernovas at once haha ( ok, powertrip much )

Well , since I realy inforced the idea of a new Order BS , I realy have to say that some of the things Jinx and Xing said made me thing in a diffrent direction.

Now , no matter how strong the ship will be as a BS it will still have every drawback of a normal BS. It will be killed by 2 bombers , it wont be able to do anything else then defend Minor and the Omicron systems wich will make the RP for this ship very limited. I don't say that the Order is not able to creat another , stronger and better BS:nono: . But the idea of a powerfull and agile BC Carrier is something I like much better. Jinx was right about everything he/she said , a ship like that would be able to go far away from Order space and make a diplomatic contact with other systems the Order is interested in. Since it's even a fighter/bomber Carrier , that makes the RP opertunities for the ship .... emence.

In my opinion it's better for the ship to be a Battecruier Carrier instead of a Battleship. Exept the RP reasons for that , the Carrier would have one more thing to add to it's usefullness. Since it wont be an uber ship and in basic PvP is not a monster , it will not be used by people who don't know what it's designed for. Thats a HUGE diffrence between the two choices. But as a BC it should be agile and a truster wouldn't hurt too much.

Also , I don't realy like the name "Hathor" .... But I guess I never was too fond on the whole "egyption" thing.I just want to make one thing clear. I'm surtain that there is no actuall need for the ship to be named after egyptions gods/words or anything egyptian like. It would be nice to continue the egyptian name line but the names that were mentioned don't realy siut the ship in my opinion.

edit to Jinx - I think that the ship you designed and submited is indeed a madel of a Carrier class. When someone looks at it , they thing " It must have fighters in there". I say this because I saw your post that if Igiss says it will be a BS you can just say that those are not launch tubes but "death cannons" wich is something that is totaly not in the Order's style. I think that it needs some remodeling to become a BS , at the moment it just say's Carrier. But if Igiss say's it will be a BS , why not make it a BS Carrier ?

But yeah, I like the Order Carrier. Why? I would fly it, and will if it comes out. I can see Bs| having 1, maybe 2 of these for RP purposes and hopefully very very little indies of these, as have indies with a carrier makes no sence.

I do think having a ship ment for fighting is a good idea, classed maybe in between gunboat and cruiser/destroyer, but then it would most certainly get abused...

Ya know - combined with lv 9 turrets, those 4 torpedo tubes might actually be a good idea.

But even if this puppy becomes /just/ another battleship, I still like the shapes a lot. Good work.
