During my planned delivery of Jump Gate and Trade Lane Parts to Solarius Station in Omega-11 system I was halted by a party of Unioners in Texas just after jumping in from New York. Their group consisted of snubcraft, a gunboat and even a Cruiser, thus leaving me no choice but to try and suffer through the encounter without chance to evade and successfully escape their grasp. I tried reasoning but met a wall as the wing leader seemed to be nothing but a dictator who wanted her full share of the profits while turning me away from entering Rheinland. I have rerouted the cargo to Planet Sprague where it was delivered without further incidents.

Good day gentlemen.

After reading reports of firsts experiments regarding the consequences of the Dark Matter storm, and consulting Dr.Fairchild, we have decided to investigate the possible alterations to the Texas system wormholes this storm could have caused. As such, we have mobilized personnel to mount this expedition regrouping scientists, survey teams and a medical unit in case of emergency.

Mission Briefing :

Dark matter is known to interfere with the wormhole type anomalies in space-time continuum, known as Jump Holes. It is important to understand the connection between them better. Ageira Innovations Science Division will install a new type of sensor arrays onto your ship for this mission. Make scans of all known jump anomalies and submit the scans in your report.

Captain's Logs - mission recap :

After supplying at Pueblo station, we departed Colorado system and headed to Texas System. Travel was all peace and quiet. Upon arrival, we decided to first set course toward the Pequena Negra debris field. First thing we noticed was the high level of radiation inside the field, then we found our first wormhole, leading toward Kansas system.

Scan indicated it was stable, though we did notice some strange gravitationnal disturbance on the debris nearby. As such we decided to investigate and sent a survey team. They managed to pinpoint the source of this disturbance, wich was coming from the wormhole itself. They also requested a hazmat container, which was used to collect samples of dark matter reminiscence in the vicinity.

Once we were done with the Kansas jumphole, we headed straight toward the North Dallas debris field. Once there, we quickly found another wormhole, this time scanning indicated it was directed toward New York system.

No particular readings showed up on our scan, the wormhole was stable. We then had a short skirmish with some Liberty Rogues, but the turrets made quick work of them. We believe they use this wormhole as an entry point to the New York system. This intel could prove quite valuable for Liberty military.

Without delay, we headed toward Virginia jump hole, which was already in our database.
Again, the scan showed nothing out of the ordinary, stability of the wormhole was as good as it could be.

This one has been around for quite some time already and is unlikely to close anytime soon, though our understanding of these phenomenons is too limited yet to establish an accurate estimation.

Next stop was West Dallas debris field, in wich we found yet again another wormhole.
First scan indicated a stable connection between Texas system and California system.

We monitored light radiation in the anomaly's vicinity, so we decided to send in the survey team with a hazmat container to collect some samples among the debris.

Once again, the survey team monitored a slight gravitationnal disturbance within the debris around the anomaly. They also managed to pick up another dark matter reminiscence sample. We started to believe the radiation and gravitation around the wormholes were no mere coincidences.

We kept researching the system for more wormholes, then we arrived in the Grande Negra. Though we didn't came accros any wormhole, the readings were quite disturbing, we managed to scan the same phenomenon that was around Kansas and California wormholes. We recorded these results, even though our mission concerned wormholes, our theory that dark matter could have an influence on these portals was growing thicker by the minute. Without further delay we went back on track and searched for another wormhole.

We arrived in the nearby South Dallas Debris Field and found another wormhole amongst the high amount of junk floating there. It can be noticed that Texas system has a strangely high amount of jumpholes. Our scan showed a stable portal toward Hudson system. We couldn't pick up any radiation or gravitationnal anomalies in the vicinity,
wich suprised us considering it's proximity with Grande Negra.

Finally, we headed toward the Bering Jump Hole, wich was also already in our database.
Scan showed nothing out of the ordinary, the portal was perfectly stable.

At this point we recorded the presence of 6 wormholes in the Texas System and couldn't find more. Though we couldn't conclude for sure that dark matter has a real influence on the phenomenons, the samples we collected along the data we read points toward this possibility. We returned to Pueblo station to deliver our discoveries to Dr.Fairchild and I believe she is still studying it at the moment.

Conclusion :

I believe that dark matter indeed has an impact on wormholes phenomenons, the readings of radiations and gravitationnal disturbance we picked up both around jump holes and grande negra makes me think that it can alter the structure of these portals without altering it's stability.

I'd recommend installing more advanced research facilities around these parts of Sirius, since this looks quite promising in understanding the effects of dark matter. Dr.Fairchild told me that once she will have finished studying our data and samples, she will send the results directly to your neural nets with his conclusions.

Maybe dark matter doesn't just have effects on wormholes, maybe wormholes originate directly from this black energy ! Considering the high score of wormholes in Texas and the high amount of Dark matter in it's vicinity, maybe there is a link to all this. I highly encourage further exploration of this system anomalies, the key to all this could be lying there somewhere.

While shipping commodities for Nauru I have encountered a Zoner Gunboat carrying a moderate amount of Docking Ring Parts. After trying to reason with it I was met with silence and after I opened fire to reclaim our products, the captain defended itself and failing at that cloaked away. There was an encounter when Outcast Storta tried to extort me but failed due to close proximity of station. Planet Nauru seemed like a nice sight until a Junker Salvager failing to comply with Core pilots chose to fly into the orbit. After starting to ship Bio-Neural Processors I saw a Zoner Serenity with full load of Black Market Munitions. A face to face with Blood Dragon radical went sour as he wanted to know which organisation the cargo is going but due to confidentiality clauses he got nothing but a hurt ego of his failure. Later on the same terrorist disrupted lanes at Gas Miner Naha. The engagement went on for a while and I was close to disabling the ship but his backup arrived and I had to perform emergency mooring.

Dear Employees,

As you might have noticed my presence during the last few years was barely noticeable. It was decided to put more focus on expanding operations of Detroit Munitions and I was assigned to manage that progress. While I have to admit that we have not yet reached our expected growth potential, the plans are in motion and we are on track for excellent yields.

With that in mind, I am glad to announce that I will be taking the reigns of Ageira Innovations once again and will continue the brilliant work done by Jay Anderson. We expect the transition to be smooth as there is no need for major changes. As the saying goes - "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" - unless we can reap huge profits, of course...

As a part of work on Cold Lake Project, me and my team on board of Oort conducted survey in Poole system to find location for a gate which will connect to Experimental Gate in Alberta. We visited most of the stellar bodies in the system, including planets and jump anomalies. We collected their astrophysical parameters to calculate coordinates and angles with required precision and to account for gravitational effects.

Based on the collected data, we found the most suitable spot for constructing the Experimental Gate. According to our calculations, the optimal position for the gate within the system is on the border of sectors 7G and 7H, approximately 25K from Planet Lyndhurst.
