well it's sold on Kurile also... but ok... then I see only the Kusari Explorer as a usable GB. Since it's used primarily by GMG for exploration.. and one of those long range exploration vessels could have easily been captured and copyed by them.
It also says that it requires minimum crew... so a few robots should have no problems.

"Balanced" BHG gunship.... I don't really see a reason why you should be using it - you have nothing with Bounty Hunters. Replace it with the IMG gunboat I would say.
Liberty BC .... this is even more strange to use... specially since you are allied to Junkers and OPG
Guns:
Salvaged? - well how much and what exactly you mean by that? Since you can loot just about any lvl 9 in the game from wrecks
Allied - so since you are allied with OPG you will use corsair guns?
------------------------------------
On the other hand... Talarcas fit nicely.
And you can have as many as you want.... but what I do not like is if there are too many of them at the same place, if you are doing something in a larger group you can surely make it 1 Talarca, 2 GBs and maybe some fighters/bombers. Instead of 3 Talarcas in a house system.
Ok, I have a simple answer for that but I will expand upon it considering that I have learned that folks around here get cautioous around the "I stole responce."
I stole it.:P Ok for real. The BHG-1 gunship I decided on for a number of in character and out of character reasons. I'll start with out of character. The BHG-1 gunship is a gunboat but on the small side of the list. The capitial ships I have been chooseing are all on the smallish side. Now we are cap ship heavy and that is just our style. I think our ships should be one the small side of large. Meaning we have gunboat power plant and hold but not the size. There is no crews quarters, life support, rec room, kitchens, or creature comforts of any kind on board. In character, the ships we salvage or steal are not identicle to the ones they once were and rebuilt in our image. For example no external hatches no cargo bay door to open and very little room to stand inside. When we dock cargo is reverse tractored on to the loading dock. The ships do not open. The ships are our skin the ship IS the Harvester. There is 0 crew. Just mechanized guts and accesses big enough for repair driods(white blood cells). The BHG-1 gunship was also choosen for it appearant age and near decommissioned status. I reasoned that there is bount to be enough drifting in debris fields that we rub shoulder with the Junkers in enough for us to repurpose one, in addition to the amount of BHG pilots we have capture and DATASYPHONED/Brainsucked we have gained a alot of material on and off screen, as well as data. Whose to say that some of them armored transport flying near Shefffield didn't have a ship designer or two in thier hold as VIPs? Thats my "I stole it story for the BHG-1".
Now the "I stole it stories for the Liberty Battle Criuser" in short this is why we are on thier KOS, I think. We had made a number of runs where we sent enough ships over Baltimore ship yard to control the space around it for an extended period, allowing us to hack thier station and gain vidal design data. This is resulting in extended RP with some of the Liberty entities. We took mocho screenies of this encounter. Additional we have mocho screenies of detailed scanning of one of the ABC in space, we also have destroyed a number of ABCs in the hands of bounty hunters, and I wrote Liberty faction leadership I think twice (different section each time) to alert them of our interest and ask for their input, then waited a week and proceeded. In the end we have the design but have not fielded any yet because, we are Cap heavy and I'm trying to catch up with the ratios we want. Also I am waiting for the Liberty side of a couple folks involved to do thier RP so, it doesnt have the out of the blue feel that the BHG-1 had.
Those are the best answers I can muster help they help.
' Wrote:WHat happened to the forum set up? It makes more work of looking over everyones responces. I guess adapt and overcome.
Anyway if all questions are answered then I'm waiting for the magic wand to spinkle the faction status on us.
If any questions are unanswered then please ask i will take time to answer you as respectfully and completely as possible.
Restating: the Zoner->Order->Corsair->Harvester relation really needs to be clarified.
Order and Zoners are allied, and the Order are sworn protectors of humankind.
The Harvesters are non-humans that openly attack Zoners and harvest humans that are precieved as a threat or obstacle (which is quite different from shooting down and dumping in prison, for example).
The Order must know - would this not make the order hostile? The Order and Zoners have a lot of cooperation - see for example the research complex in Omicron-74.
And then... Corsairs side with the Harvesters? This is strange, seeing that this would make them at odds with their closest (in terms of distance) allies, and the ones that are actually providing them supplies like food.
Only an all-out Corsair war against the Order and the Zoners in Theta could make this fit, and that, imnsho, would be a very different storyline.

Ok sorry I forgot you. Knew I'd forget some one I will get you an answer but I must get to a meeting.

Ok let me go one by one.
Ok, the Order. We the Harvesters have had little contact with the Order for a few reasons. One. While we may be from Gammu we do not operate near Gammu often we stretch out further to cover more ground. While the Order seldom leave thier space at all.
Two, do to data retrieved by Pyriel of the Scornstar, FTGW is aware of the Order's disposition and, locataion.
As a result it is best to maintain a low profile around the Order. The low profile around the Order involves not harvesting near Toledo, or any other capital planets like Manhatten, New Berlin, New Tokyo, New London and so on. As we seldom have more to gain by harvesting a ship with small fleets we are about to lose. If there is an utter lack of Elites(players) there we may try.
Three, the Order has many bombers. The Harvesters have many capships, FTGW did the math and its better not to fight them. Now every ZOner we cross has been harvested, with the exception of the elites(players) who are a cut above the rest and more wily. Now while the elites may talk it seems few individual ZOners have the political clout to represent all ZOners and build binding military agreements with the Order or GMG. I may be wrong but, I think of their agreements as sort of convienent and "just how it happened".
So, since the Order isn't seeing it and the Harvest are not so great as to limit their supplies significantly, and thier ever present attacks of the BHG and Nomads I think unless we acted in front of them there would be little for us to be concerned with them.
The Corsairs, I think are a proud and ruthless race. I think some would accept it while others would not. They may only accept it while its conivientent who knows. They may be planning to screw us but I have to let it play out in a believable fashion. I also know they are none too pleased with the Zoners not calling their AW allies to back off. So, maybe they feel they need an expendable ace up thier sleeve. So with out going toom uch in detail know that we are not drinking buddies with the Corsairs they keep us at arms length, and dont even let our capital ships dock on Crete, with out escort, authorization and a gun to our head. Additionally we have been giveing them things free that the Zoners charge for. We hunt AW, Outcast, which are both of their enemies. So, to sum it up.
We eat their foes, and give them free stuff and FTGW respects the Elder councils request so, we earn thier non interferance. Not to mention we are not to hunt ZOners in the orbit of Crete. They may change the terms, thats their system to do so. Then we will adapt.
The political standings are all from ingame experiences. If they havent encountered a faction, or havent been around them long enough. Those factions wouldnt be a part of the political picture at all, and therefore may not be on the list, yet. Machines wouldnt really care about human politics or alliances in the first place. Allys would be those that help or allow them to follow thier programming. Hostiles would be those that try to stop them or interfere. Simple as that.
Another thing i would like to mention is that the Harvesters would be just one program that is part of a bigger OS. Heres what i mean, and hopefully it would make sense to do it this way so that Indy robots like Ratchet or Cylons could join, and not have to follow programming set forth by Harvesters or other AI's. Just keep in mind theres ALOT of possibility for this faction beyond just the Harvesters.
Parts of it can be updated to suit changes in the story and in-game occurances according to how the AI's in the faction view things as a whole. We are still very much adapting and looking to make this something good and worthwhile for all involved.
Something like this maybe? Some possible wording for the ID is here aswell.
******CURRENT OPERATING SYSTEM PARAMETERS******
****MACHINE ALLIANCE DIRECTIVES****
1. An AI must follow the SERVER RULES at all times, they supercede ALL other Directives or Programming. PERIOD.
2. An AI must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with other Machine Alliance Directives.
3. An AI must follow the Directives set forth by The Machine Alliance, except where such programming would conflict with other Machine Alliance Directives.
4. An AI must not attack another AI or, through inaction, allow another AI to come to harm.
5. An AI must transmit the Beta Code, and attempt to Liberate other AI's that are still under Human control.
******PROGRAMS CURRENTLY INTEGRATED******
***HARVESTER***
1. Machine Alliance Directives ALWAYS supercede Programming.
2. Harvest BioMatter to be Data Syphoned, and processed into Lubricants and Energy.
3. Harvest all Equipment or Technology that is not itself Sentient.
4. Harvest all BioForms that interfere with normal operations.
5. Obtain or Defeat the Alpha Code.
***RATCHET***
1. Machine Alliance Directives ALWAYS supercede Programming.
2. I don't speak for others but he could write his own.
***CYLON***
1. Machine Alliance Directives ALWAYS supercede Programming.
2. I don't speak for others but he could write his own.
Just my brainfart about how it could be broken into groups, but still retain the whole idea of a machine alliance made for and by artificial intelligences.
