I saw one of them on and they were in this weird system called "Bastille" or something. Later, one of my friends who joined the DIC told me he was stuck there... So... What kind of system is that and why have I never heard of it before? Plus, what happened to get them all confined to where-ever the hell it is? Had to ask that, regardless of my stupidity.

Bastille is the brand spankin new prison system. From what I heard, all DIC players were sent there until this whole mess is straightened out. There is no way out of there other than an admin removing you from there.

EDIT: Although now that I think about it, it might have only been a couple of them. Man, now I gotta find the sanction thread again.

EDIT2: Nope the whole lot of em.

I know it was a building in France. A prison maybe?

Not maybe. It was a notorious prison in Paris before the french revolution in 1789.
Its origin was a fortress, but later used as prison.

It stems from the French Revolution, I believe.

Some evil king locked up a bunch of ne'er do good freethinkers.

Rebellious Frenchmen stormed the prison and either released the freethinkers, or got thrown in themselves.

...can't remember which. I've slept since then.

Anyway, I believe there's a "Bastille Day" in France to commemorate whoever done what to who..

Yes, all correct. Also... don't any of you dare call it 'Ba-steel'. Its 'Ba-steeeeee'. I guess that french immersion gave me the french anal tendency as well as the language skills.
