Benedict entered the bar looking around, catching Tona and Nathan in an instant, Benedict is wearing a black robe with a hood over his head, he slowly motioned towards the two bowing to the Arch Deacon Criid and nodding to Nathan. "Greetings" he said with his usual deep tone "Any news Arch Deacon?" he asked .
Dane looked up at Tona, and gave his best smile. "Thank you for all your help. we owe you, a lot. More then words can really convey."
He stood up, pulled out his comm, and dialed Genine....
"If you guys are going, me and Genine are going - i've just gotta put someone in charge of our defense while away, and pack my summer clothes *chuckle* or at least the ones that aren't very dirty"
With that, he walked a pace away, and began relaying the info to Genine...
Tona gave a quick nod to the Administrator and she allowed for him to take all the room he needed. Noticing the young acolyte in the room as he walked in, she had kept a mental note of his presence. It was quite clear to her that something troubled him, and perhaps his inexperience in the Enclave was something of an embarrassment, or hindrance, to the Acolyte. She placed a gentle hand on the shoulder of the young acolyte and let her nanites flow, activating his and causing a moment of calm over the young Acolyte. She then spoke, using a voice that had no voice, "Acolyte Ward, your journey within the Enclave has only just begun, and yet the prizes that await will astound many, not just yourself."
When addressed by Benedict she turned to him and looked at her with an almost undetectable emotion of disdain mixed with slight confusion. Such a young person within the Enclave inquiring as to their being any "news". "[insert rank] Benedict, I believe that it would not be your place to ask a person, such as myself, such questions as if we were familiars. Maybe in a time in the near future, but for now, it would be best to learn your place."
She attempted to deliver the speech as politically as she could, remember the calming teachings of the Arch Priestess. Oh how much Tona wished to just lash forward and smack the insolent fool, but her future dictated that she must act differently that she would have in the past. She maintained her composure quite well, considering her past, and even offered a bit of a smile.
"If it is prudent for you to know, it seems that the Administrator of this Freeport will be accompanying us back to the Temple. I suggest that you make sure that you are ready, that is if you are to join us in returning to Gran Canaria at this time."
I am [The_Angels]Mortis. If you need help regarding the rules, the game, or just need someone to talk to, feel free to contact me on skype or PM me.
Nathan, felt Tona's hand on his shoulder. He suprised at himself when he flinched a little, and his only thought was 'This flight suit is dirty she should not be touching it.'
Her words were kind and well meant, he could tell. THe beast grumbled and slumbered once more. His breathing, which had been so fast before now calmed and slowed. She did not seem to require a response as she had begun to talk with Benedict. In fact tell him off was perhaps more accurate. Nathan tried his best no to giggle, the tea had ordered arrived in front of him. Nathan grabbed the cup and drank to cover his laugh. He immediatly regretted it as he began coughing. 'Oh Creator forgive me.' He thought.
Benedict had been there when he had joined the Enclave. In the handful of times he had seen Benedict, Nathan came away with one conclution. Benedict, Nathan thought was like a man who followed you into a revolving door and came out first. A man to be wary and respectful of.
Nathan listened to Tona say,"If it is prudent for you to know, it seems that the Administrator of this Freeport will be accompanying us back to the Temple. I suggest that you make sure that you are ready, that is if you are to join us in returning to Gran Canaria at this time."
Nathan wondered if that meant he should come to. Unlikely Freeport 1 may have been safer than it had been in a while, but it still needed protection. Nathan took another sip of tea.
jimmy, now done with his drink and flight plan had managed to trangulate the destination as freeport 10 so takeing one last glance he exited and within minutes his gunboat was on its way to his destintion,he would be back after he helped find the missing girl
Benedict bows to the Arch Deacon once again and says. "I am deeply sorry milady, I should have been more careful of my words.." he said as he lowered his head and spoke again. "Now may I re-adress myself, I meant to ask if there is anything I could do to serve the Enclave?" The nanites inside him start to rage for some reason, and his right hand starts shaking.
After another quiet day, Hangman decided to dock and lay low for a while. Usualy he sleeps in his ship to avoid
any unneccesarry attention. But not this time. He wanted to know the people on this Freeport better. After he
disembarked, he passed reconstruction sites, welders and repair teams doing their job and stood for a moment
in front of an open room with a bar.
"Yup. Now we're talkin'."
He took off his sunglasses, walked to the bar, took a seat at a lonely table from where he could oversee the whole room
and waved to the bartender. The bartender nodded and approached him.
"What would you like, mate?"
"Gimme any drink to chill, guard duty can be boring."
"Oh? Never saw you around here. What's your name?"
"Jack."
"Any special callsign? Even before this hell broke out, there were many Jacks passing through here, you know?" he smiles.
Taggert smiled and answered: "It's Hangman."
"Um... Hangman... guard duty... oh, then you're the one in the Spatial?"
Hangman nodded with a smile "Yup."
"You're doing a good job out there, Jack, even if you don't know it. Okay, I'll prepare something good for you."
The bartender walked away and Hangman began to eye the people around him.
John Raven enters the bar, orders a beer and a shot. When the whiskey arrives he downs it in a single gulp. "Damn that paperwork sucks!" he thinks to himself. With Dane and Genine off to Gran Canaria, he got stuck in charge. "Being XO of the security staff is hard enough." With a sip of his beer his eyes scan the room and he sees the guy known as the Hangman. Shoving away from the bar, he walks over and takes a seat at the table.
"Hey man," he said to the Hangman, "Next round is on me. Thanks for all the help out there. We're doing good on supplies and people, but would sure wish we had more defenses up. I mean, we have those mercs and the 2500 battle droids the RM provided after the shelling, but sometimes I feel like it's Dien Bien Phu and we're the foreign legion."
Hangman looked at the generous man and appreciated his offer. Judging from his uniform, he must be someone from FP1's security
service. "Thanks, mate." he replied. "And you're right. The garrison here looks more like a bunch of hand to hand thugs."
he said as he gazed around at the room. The barman approached their table and Hangman pointed at Raven, saying "His round...".
The barman nods, placed a glass of a greenish longdrink on the table and walked away. Hangman took his glass. "Now we can talk.
I think i didn't introduced myself yet. The name's Jack. And you are?" he said, taking a sip of his cocktail.
"John Raven," came the reply. "I'm the security XO here, and filling in for the the boss and admin while they're gone."
He takes long pull of his beer and signals the bartender for another. "You know," he said. "We have that team of mercs, some hard core shock troops from Cerberus, and battle droids. The shields are full up with extra backup generators. Still, I if this becomes the Alamo, I don't want to have the same fate. Right now, more is better, but not sure what we can get or where from."
