Hale here.
Evening gentlemen. Now you're going to have to excuse this being potentially a garbled mess, however it's an extremely confusing situation in it's own right, and something I believe your two organisations need to hear about.
A few days ago, I was contacted by a freelancer who I recognised to be former Major General Felicia Drum of the Rheinland Military. My files on her history would indicate she has deserted from the Rheinland military and is now working as a freelancer. Now while it's not our policy to arrest ex-members of a another nation's military just because we happen to be at war with them, this individual is worth watching.
She was particularly interested in hunting down a certain Evangeline McDowell. A name with which i'm sure you're familiar, on behalf of the Lincoln Research Institute.
This brings up two questions:
1. What interest does Lincoln Research Institute take in Evangeline McDowell?
2. Why is Drum willing to work for them?
Both of these are relevant to our interests. Lincoln Research have expressed interest in working on a government contract. Miss Drum is an extremely talented pilot and leader. Evangeline McDowell is a wanted criminal. Why do these people all seem to be linked in one way or another?
This series of questions only becomes more interesting...
Miss Drum directly approached me asking for help, revealing she was working for LRI in order to receive some medical help for someone close to her. When pushed to answer who this individual was, it was revealed that it is her brother, Mr. Henrik Drum, also a former high ranking RM officer. Miss F. Drum has asked for my assistance with finding a 'cure' for her brother's illness.
Now here's where it gets remarkably interesting...
Henrik Drum's 'illness' is infact being under direct physical nomad influence. LRI, unsurprisingly seemed either unwilling or unable to assist Miss Drum. Henrik Drum, complete with nomad-in-head, is currently stored in Miss Drum's sabre, in a stasis pod Drum has salvaged and maintained herself. I know this to be true, as I have seen it with my own eyes.
Now, as I see it, Henrik Drum presents an extremely interesting potential research subject. Miss Felicia Drum seems willing to divulge information about her former employers in the Rheinland Military in exchange for Henrik's safety, and the removal of the nomad infection.
This, however is an extremely sensitive issue. Miss Drum is (understandably) paraniod and unstable, not to mention an extremely experienced combat operative, both in space and on land. I'll be honest, she's one of the few Military officers who ever genuinely concerned me in single combat in space.
The potential for our gain in this situation is huge, however getting directly involved is going to be interesting, and have informed her that I will be forwarding her request for help to the LSF. This presents an opportunity for us to discover a lot about the Nomad influence in Rheinland, and perhaps gain a little inside knowlege on the Rheinland Military as well.
Please addess any questions you may have in this channel. I will attempt to remain in contact with Miss Drum.
We'll keep this brief Admiral, after some deliberations with our Research wing, we conclude that it would be, benefictial, if we where allowed access, both private and secure to this individual.
As for questions, we am operating under the assumption you have said indivudual in Navy custody, or at least have some way of bringing them to account. If this is the case, I would like to point out that our Battlegroup has some unique, and efficient mechanics for dealing with and restraining Nomad and infected persons, and it would likely be in everyone's best interests if we where allowed to keep the individual as our, Guest.
On the matter of the Lincoln Institute, we have long viewed them with some suspicion, personaly, and perhaps a full investigation would be in order.

At the present time, we do not have either of these individuals under Navy custody. However I am in contact with Miss Felicia Drum. The situation is extremely delicate, as I'm sure you understand. Felicia Drum's mental state is not entirely stable. She is extremely paranoid and not acting in an entirely rational manner. There is every chance that too much interferance at the present time could cause her to disappear entirely, and take her nomad-infected brother with her.
She is extremely adept at avoiding detection. The very fact she has made her presence known at all indicates a degree of desperation on her part. We would have to negotiate terms with Miss Drum regarding her brother extremely carefully.
Very well, perhaps offering Miss Drum an incentive to join us and remain our 'Guest'. Amenity granted, all past crimes expunged from records, along these lines. However that is up to yourselves to decide on. If you do manage to detain the persons in question, we will be ready and awaiting thier transportation to one of our facilities, as I'm sure you can see the sense in this. Rest assuredly, we will co-operate on every level with the LSF. If they wish to become involved in this... Situation.
