Dimitri Mikhailov stood on the field of grass, examining every agent head to toe. He paced back and forth, giving smirks, nods, and slight smiles of admiration to each of the CrossBones agents that were lined up before him. He stood back a moment, and looked into the distance.
"Agents, of the CrossBones.. Look behind you."
The group of terrorist agents looked beyond the valley, fixing their gaze upon the large city in the horizon.
"What lies before you is the city of Toyoake."
Dimitri smiled a bit, looked around, then continued.
"We are currently in Kusari. Planet Kyushu, to be exact.... The reason.... That you are all here, is this..."
The group stared at their Grand Constable intently. He continued to pace back and forth, then finally stopped.
"You are here to level this city to the ground."
The group looked at each other. Some of them laughing a bit, ready to take on a new challenge. While others seemed more worried.
"It will be a perilous task. Some of you may not survive... The leader of this operation will be Constable Wayland. You follow her command or whoever she deems fit to lead along side her."
Dimitri stood still for a moment, straightening his suit and clearing his throat.
"As i said, you will level the city. How you do this, i do not care. I recommend you use the materials I have given you and put inside your briefcase. Yes, briefcase. This is strictly a business endeavor. You each have been given knives, guns, explosives with detonations, and are currently wearing the latest in high-tech armor... Now. There are five strategic points. The first four being each corner of the city, all underneath poorly guarded buildings belonging to small land owners. The one in the center, however. Is underneath a heavily guarded political Bureau solely owned by the Emperor himself. Which brings me to my next subject. The reason for this.. It is quite simple, really. This city is one of the strongest Emperor-supporting cities in all of Kusari. The people here would give absolutely anything to get just a mere glimpse of the high-and-mighty himself. Destroying this city along with it's political influence, would me a major gain for us and our Lord Gothera. Whom, as you know, is using your expertise to continue the search for the Sunken City... Alright then. You have several Startrackers here at your disposal. Reason being, it won't attract any attention what so ever."
Dimitri then began walking back to the 'Fictive Roads.' He approached the entrance, then turned around to face the company of Agents once more.
"Oh and.. Be cautious of the Hogosha. They are skilled warriors in both naval and ground combat. And i hope i made this clear.. but if i haven't, I'll say it again. Come back with the job completed, or do not come back at all. Good luck, Agents. All hail Gothera!"
// before any of you get all up in a hype about metagaming, i asked Zelot (the emperor) if this was ok. He said yes.
Wayland was leaning against the hull of her Sabre, the Anubis. She waited until Mikhailov was donw and gonw, then detached herself, Unity at her side. Her dark red gloves were on, meaning there would be no screwing around. Wayland crossed her arms.
"Listen up. We have four objectives I will be delegating. Number five will be lead by me."
She looked at them. After a minute, she resumed.
"Five teams. Team One shall be lead by Reaper. Your taslk is the placing of the explosive devicds -here-." She indicated a point in the north of the city. "Place the device, get out. That is the plan for each team. Team Two, lead by Miake, will take this one." She points to one in the south. "Team Three, lead by CW, will take the one in the west, and thst guy, Bart or whatever will be taking the east. I, as I said, I will take the center. Get in, get out. If you are not here, at this spot, in exactly three days, you will be left behind. Understood? Good."
Reaper raised an eyebrow. Team leading wasn't something she felt she was cut out for. She just killed people that was it. What part of her job description said 'I give orders'. What was Wayland thinking? Nevermind, get the job done.
"Alright I'll take the new kid." Reaper said pointing at Kiera. Someone had to take the new one, might as well be her.
"You're going to need a distraction Constable." She spoke suddenly. "We can provide several effective distractions, should make your job and everyone else's easier..." But ours infinitely harder...
That wasn't important. She was going after some corporate office building. How much resistance could a bunch of minimum wage security guards really put up?
CW looked around, kind of confused. He turned around and took a step back, smirking at the city in the distance.
"Huh. I guess it is sort of diamond shape."
The Agent put his hands in the air and began making shapes around the city, as if trying to calculate the size of it. After a moment of pondering to himself, he sighed and walked over to a table that had been set up for them. On it were the briefcases, containing their weaponry. He opened one, and took out a knife. CW examined it for a moment, then put it back and picked up a plasma gun. He aimed it at the sky, then fired a bolt of plasma into the air.
"Whoa-whooa! Very nice!"
He smiled a bit, then put everything back were it was.
"Alright then! I need two people to go with me, that should do it. Hmm.. I'm thinkinnnnngggg.. Valravn and someone else."
He leaned against a startracker, tapping his chin while thinking of who to chose to go with him.
Kiera was sitting on a grassy patch listening to all the talking around her, but resting her gaze on the blue sky as a sufficient enough distraction. The situation seemed like she has been selected to participate in some sort of mega-bombing mission, kind of frustrating a tiny bit. Wondering what would her role be in this mess, she was suddenly picked up by a woman who was known of her nickname Reaper around, could have been someone worse. She stood up and walked to the team leader, trying to get out of the way of the "giants" around her, this begun to be annoying. Just when she got there, Reaper proposed something interesting, making Kid raise an eyebrow
- Distraction? - she muttered to herself while examining her handgun - distractions are easy to do, such as something big and messy. This should be fun at least
"Alright, if CW is going to take all day deciding on a third man I'm going to roll out with Kiera and get the ball rolling. How big a distraction do you want? I do small, large, and catastrophic."
"Har har. I'm not some girly girl damsel in distress." She shot back. "But whatever. You want me to take a third person then fine. As much as I hate it you still outrank me. Any volunteers?"
She surveyed the agents. No volunteers were forth coming. Fine. Time to do some voluntelling.
"Unity, you're with us. Grab your crap and lets go. Now, about that distraction: small, large or catastrophic?"
Unity glanced at Wayland, who, surprisingly gave her a small smile. Unity stepped forward, shouldering her backpack and SMG. She took her place beaide Reaper and glanced at her. Wayland looked at Reaper.
"Catastrophic will do. Get every damn cop in the city there. We're gonna level it, so it won't matter."
Wayland looked around.
"Move out agents. For Gothera; Burn down Toyoake."
