I don't think it was mentioned yet but this seems to fix the navmap issue with the widescreen fix. Its nothing big but still appreciated.
And the /time while taking screens is nice. Just too bad it doesn't make it into the first screen. You have to take two to catch it with the timestamp.
Cruise drain is now different, among other things like zooming and steering. It now just eats all energy at some point around 90%, not lowers it fast like it did.
More testing: I've found that the position of the standard 3rd person/chase camera behind my ship differs between the old file and the new file. Not that the new DSAce changes everyone's camera; it's more likely that my old camera has been in the wrong place the whole time.
I've got a stack of screenshots for comparison, will upload shortly.
I'm going to clear out my hudshift/jflp.dll files, put on the new DSAce and see what happens.
' Wrote:Ok, I broke Freelancer. The game crashes to desktop when I open the navmap (but everything else seems ok). Definitely a result of aforementioned modifications.
However, I haven't checked the FOV settings to see if they're the same or not.
Also, it seems the black boxing during undocking cutscenes disappears; probably also related.
Someone else commented about text size; that would be a result of the new DSAce.dll file. It has probably increased font size due to the increased screen size.
Connecting to the server seemed a tad smoother, though.
That appears to be the standout line from FLSpit when it CTD's after trying to open the navmap.
Also, while the game is in widescreen, it appears to be 'shrunk' or zoomed in on the ship. (I've only tested fighters so far.)
That's not to say that it's been stretched horizontally to fill the screen, which is what usually happens when using just -dx.
Must go test more.
Oh, and the hud was in the right place.
Gonna switch back to old DSAce and see what happens.
I suspect you have a modified camera.ini file (or whatever it's called). Replace it with the standard discovery one. Remove any other dlls - this is not compatible with jflp.dll.

Hello I have a few questions about this new change of DsAce.dll file. (Be advised I didn't add it yet!)
1st ; I use a normal LCD display with the 1024x768 resolution. I don't have a wide-screen display.
2nd: My connection with the server is very good the ping normally is 46- 51 and never had problems (except for when I had problems were only about my ISP or when discovery's server had problems in the past.)
3rd: I have no issues with my nav. map or with any in game fonts, all display correct in my game.
So the final question..is... DO I have to install / update this file if I have NO issues with the old DsAce??
It could cause problems if I add it ? As I mentioned above everything works ok for me and I have no reasons to add this update.
