Star Colonel Hunter was sitting in her command chair when the called pilots were slowly entering the bridge. They were known to be slow, especially when they were called. The fact that her pilots kept her waiting made her more nervous, a thing she didn't really need at that time. She was quite relieved when all of them finally reached the bridge...
Right, now that you are finally here, it's time to tell you what you have to do.
She pressed a couple of buttons, which activated the holographic displays, showing a detailed map about Gallia, the intel gathered by Star Captain Dagon.
Gallia, a dangerous place, but I'm sure you know that already. The Gallics captured a person who has the knowledge about us and our home system, we cannot allow them to get said information.
She pointed at a system, known as Dauphine.
We know that said person is aboard a prison liner in this system, we do not know its exact position as it is being moved from time to time. I want this person rescued.
First, the AR wing will enter Gallia to scout for the exact position of our target. After that is done, the SAD wing will enter the story, attack the prison liner with all its escorts, which will most likely be there. Once that is done you will board the prison liner, secure our target and return safely to the Libertine.
She looked into the crowd of pilots, they were all listening.
AR is under command of Recon-One, SAD is under command of Star Captain Dagon for this operation. Mission start is in three hours, get ready.
After the mission debrief John Fox leaves the room and headed to the hangar.
"Alrite I want my ship to be ready in 2 hours, I am going in a unknow space and I don't want to experience some, let's call it "Trauma experiece" alrite? Good, I hope you won't forget to mount my mines like last time, don't forget who is the principal mine provider in a battle *He start to laught* Good, I leave you to your work now"
After he left the hangar he went to review again the mission objectives.
Alright, all SAD personnel is needed at debriefing room A4 for a quick run-down.
Bring your A-Game, because we need ideas to make this work.
The churning on his stomach was always the same before a big op. On the outside, he had to act the regular Star Captain everyone knew, but on the inside, it always seemed that a battle already raged on.
And do a last full check on your ships. We don't need people with mechanical failures in the battlefield.
He then turned to Hunter.
Star Colonel. I think it would be wise to anticipate that the Prison Liner have hidden support. Probably based off at distance or something. We might need a last minute distraction.
Meallan looked at Cristina and while they were being professional, he was.. imagining what would happen if they were alone again.
A last minute distraction? Hmmmm, let me think for a minute...
She scratched her head and checked some monitors which were showing the crowded docking area, the AR wing was already finished with the preparations. The Scimitars slowly left the ship and started to patrol the area before they would enter Gallia.
Well, every Military has its own enemies, better use that fact for your own advantage. There surely are some Gallians that might help you out, but still be careful with them. Also, we all know the AR wing is able to do more stuff than only scouting.
The Star Colonel pointed at the monitors, the SAD ships were the only ones left in the hangar.
Now get going, or do you want the AR to steal your show?
