The kinds of comments I have been PMed from people after they killed me. Yes thats right, they won and still they whinge.
I rage quit for 3 months partially cause of this, then started to remember the good times I had and returned.
Its all about ignoring the asshats and focusing on the good people here. And you learn to avoid certain people in conn.

I die most of the time too
Heh...it's all a thing of training, how often you do it and how effectively. For my point I almost never train and rarely have PvP fights. But if so then I loose in 60% of them or just retreat after some time. Due to the fact there are really nasty PvP whores it doesn't make me wonder some people don't want to smash other players any longer. Not two days ago I had the really best PvP I have ever had before with a Bundschuh Sabre against 2, later 4, LSF ships in Hamburg. Neither I nor the LSF was able to get a blue message from me or I from them. For such fights I could live in PvP but nothing different.
I lately had a lot of fights to be honest - at least in regards to how few I normally have.
I disliked PvP, because I'm not that good at it. Had lots of experience with other players just being much better than me and killing me with ease.
Lately though fights have been a bit more fun, fighting of GBs and Caps with a bomber is one thing I can do at least, and I like it. I also had some more interesting fighter fights.
The most interesting was the Benitez vs IMG event. And I was very much surprised about how it turned out. I didn't feel like attending first, because well, I thought we'd just stand no chance anyway to be honest. Had some other stuff to do anyway. But when the event later moved to Cambridge ... I didn't think we'd have such a balanced fight there. And then I realized, that maybe - maybe - it's because a certain fighter is overpowered, that I "suck" in pvp.
So, yeah, that fight gave me back hope for really - really - good and fun pvp on the server.
Than there have been other fights lately ... in which the players played a very very dirty game, running back to their BS which camped a jh so noone could go there and destroy them, while the fighters were practically invincible. But I won't say the other side wasn't doing unfair stuff as well, running to switch their ships as they felt necessary. Of course in the end they changed their tactic and drew them away from the BS, which then were forced to followed etc...
So yeah, I pretty much saw every side of the battles. And even though many fights end badly with ganks etc, a good and well balanced fight is still totally worth it.
What annoys me most is the bravado-battle that precedes most PvP.
What I love are battles where the enemy is sure of winning and is then torn to shreds against all odds. Or when it's just a really lulzy gigantic fleet battle. *dreams of good old TF7* Or when it's a really well organized and fair fleet battle. Those tend to make up for all the crappy PvPs I get due to my non-existent skill and the bravado.
I can understand why people hate pvpwhores... They wont let you win...
But after the fight, when one of the sides die, they pm a "//gf" and you reply with a "//<3", then you two start to have a friendly chat despite that your RP chars were hating each other's guts a few seconds ago...
I love those chats, and I would die 100 times in pvp for those.
It is so fun to fight those kinda guys everytime you meet them, knowing that they don't take it serious.
Ps. Just pm me whenever you want another training session Sordid.

Could go on. Merry chats.
Well, it can be like this or like Sol said. But most of the time there is just nothing...not from my side to be honest. I never got a pm, neither I have written one. Sure it would be much nicer to talk about the fight afterwards, which movements were good, which not etc. Tbh...I consinder myself as guilty when it comes to pouting about loosing in PvP fights. Sometimes the fact that there are so many who are better than me just annoy me and make me rage sometimes if I 'lost' my ship.
Though, I do not see a reason for me yet to quit PvP business with a fighter.
