The hell, peeps? Why all of you are so damn perfectionists? Just look outside, not all the cars are so eye-candies. So, I don't believe that all the ships must look like some sort "vehicle top-models". They're made not for art, but to be used as vehicles or transports.
EDIT: To be honest, I believe that all the ships in the future will look nothing more but like flying bricks.
I personally think the Mammoth could use a bit of attention. I'm not a fan of the turret fittings on the sides - the swelling / curvature doesn't really fit with the blocky design. The bridge is also very plain.
I guess the ship still has a bit of Libertonian charm, though.
Characters Alan Markson: The Hellfire Legion's Lord Commander The Perihelion: Freeport Four's guardian, and yet much more. Missing and assumed Lost with all hands. Eric Dresmund: Junker, smuggler, thief. Last seen drunk on Beaumont Vayrn Wyard: IMG Recon pilot turned Neo-Terran Captain. Last location unknown
I don't like how the front cargo pod is jutting out. If you squint hard and stare at it, it looks like a comedic looking blockhead alligator is om-noming a brick.
I know ships aren't meant to be an art but the topic is on whether its ugly or not, not on whether it being ugly is acceptable. In my opinion, its ugly, really ugly.
The only bad i see in the mammoth is the front section... is like something added in haste.... it would be far more cool if it look liked a giant Rhino
