Anyone here ever read anything by Michel Foucault?
Just curious.
Not going to say what he wrote about, 'cause it would just incite you know what among the you know who of a certain age and maturity level.

Would you mind to explain the meaning of that sentence? Although trying hard, I find myself quite unable to squeeze your intent out of it. Is there a verb missing or something?
' Wrote:for those who missed it: the moral of it all is ----> traders with teeth are fun for pirates. - within reason.

Never heard of the author myself, but a quick Wikipedia has piqued my interest.

Onca, I think you'd be intrigued. Here are three great quotations from volume 1 of a certain multipart series he authored. If you read the wikipedia page you know the one.
"Power is tolerable only on condition that it mask a substantial part of itself."
"It is one of the essential traits of Western societies that the force relationships which for a long time had found expression in war, in every form of warfare, gradually became invested in the order of political power."
"Silence itself...is less the absolute limit of discourse...than an element that functions alongside the things said, with them and in relation to them within over all strategies."
Reading back over those after typing them, I can't think of any better summation of the force relationships and power-knowledge currents at work around this server than those three statements.
