Not to be mean or anything but... this ship has absolutely nothing in common with anything else in the current BHG shipline except the ocean-related name.
If you want to design a ship for a faction that already has numerous ships available to it, you need to base your design on how those other ships look.
If you really want to model something that would maybe be in the Game, you should actually finish something that you've started. Do something that looks good, then learn how to put the Texture onto it. Right now, you're getting nowhere.
Onto the Ship: It doesn't look like Bounty Hunters at all. As said, it looks like a Dolphin and if it wouldn't have the Engine on the End it wouldn't look like a Ship too.

I don't know what model you guys are looking at, but this thing looks very much like an aquatic predator. Pretty much the whole theme of the bunter line. Is it a clone of the other ships that is just stretched and given minor changes? Nope. And that's a good thing. Or, at least you two have said so in other posts.
Its much more closely related to the bunter line than this.... http://discoverygc.com/wiki/index.php/Orca
....hulk will ever be. Yes, the model posted here needs more work. So what, the op has time to fix it all up because there won't be any more ship changes for quite some time after 4.86 comes out.
Hey op, ignore the last two grumps and keep on working with the model.
' Wrote:how about this as a replacement model for the orca? Oh, don't change the orca's stats any, but throw this model, suitably fleshed out, on it. the current orca is as ugly as anything in the game and doesn't fit the bunter line at all.
Damn woman you speaking the truth like nobody's business.
You don't understand Maelstrom.
The Bounty Hunter capital ships 'evolve' with each addition, much like their snub line. Adding this between the Bullhead and the Mako leaves the same impression like parking your SUV between two Ferrari's.
Point is, it does not fit. The BHG ships are taller than they are wide, the opposite of this ship. It does not look like a Light Battleship, and they hardly need a Light Battleship anyway.
And in what way does the current Mako suck? I didn't quite catch that. Model-wise or Stat-wise ?
Looks like a fighter, not a capital.
Capital wise:
Lacks a sense of presence, looks too streamlined and lacks a lot of detail.
Fighter wise:
Smexy. Could be a gunboat otherwise.
That's why Jinx was working on replacing it, to make it more fitting. He posted Replacements left and right. I don't know if it'll be replaced with the next update or not. I only know that People were working on it. Just because there's one Mistake in the Shipline it doesn't give a Reason to add another Mistake.
To be honest, the Orca should be a civilian Gunboat, much like the Kusari Civilian Gunboat.

What the bounty hunters are for is agility and range though. Not so much malevolent force. This ship, imo, would be perfect due to its size, I think it should be as agile as a light cruiser, but have the power of a battleship with a smaller power core, maybe just a little less than the Mako. You'd think it would be overpowered being agile and small, but it evens out in the right hands.
But I like the current BH cap line! Am I the only one?
:(
Anyway, here's my suggestion, add a fin on the bottom of the model, have it sweep forward, similar to the planned Gaian VHF's wings, except there would be only one and it would be on the bottom. After that, you'll have a fighter. Texture it, then ask the community what it looks like. Don't try and squeeze it into a shipline or class unless you are very very familiar with that shipline's asthetics.
Overall, this is the best model i've seen you do. It really looks sharp, and futuristic.
