Which transport to get?

Hi.

I'm going to buy a 5k transporter for some Sirius wide trading (using Interspace ID/IFF) and was wondering what transport shi[ would be best suited to this purpose. The only set-in-stone rule I have, is that it has to be a 5k cargo capacity (for various reasons).

I'm open to all suggestions, but, as I say, it's going to be used for Sirius wide operations.

Thinkng about it, that pretty much precludes the Zoner Whale, since it can't dock with 90% of the house stations.

So, apart from the Whale, whaddya reckon?

Depends if you want gun mounts or armor.

Stork has 6 guns, but only 120.000 Armor.
Shetland has 1 gun, but 185.000 Armor.

However, the Mastodon is the smallest and has 170.000 Armor. I would take it, because the smaller shape will be much more useful than some turret mounts or 15.000 additional armor.

Get a different ID. Nowadays almost everyone is Interspace. Choose a different Faction, then take the Transport based on what Company you trade for.

Anyway, I'd suggest getting the Shetland or the Kusari Train. However if you do not want to have Problems with House Laws you should go for the Civilian Train.

Well Toaster's right. Why buying 5ker like Stork for 180 mln while you can buy Crane with 4500 cargo and 90 mln...
If you really want a 5ker, go for Mastodon/Shetland/Stork

I really don't want to get sidetracked on the whys and wherefores of which ID I should use and whether or not I should buy a 5k transport, so can we please stick to the original question.

I do like the Shetland but I don't want to run into any problems in other house space because of the ship I'm flying. I don't want to get into Kusari and or Rhineland space only to get turned away cos I'm flying a Bretonia transport.
