gj though )))
Color scheme? What scheme would you find more fitting? Black, White and Red ... or Gold?
Anyway, I find the Green color scheme for Rheinland quite fitting. Rheinland has the colors Green-White for a flag for example...The Rhein seems to be associated with the color green quite often.

Nope, on the ships I thought of a dark gray/field gray paint or some variation thereof. Gray is a color that's found on all German uniforms, regardless of era, thus it can be related nicely to the German military. As for the flag, it should include Black and Red, since those colors are found on both the imperial and republican flags (if we discount the pre-unification states).
Thank you for sharing your opinion as well, which is in fact a matter of taste. My less flamboyant personality dictates me to prefer the grey version though.
I still think the green color gives the ships more life and variety. Keep in mind that grey was used because it is a rather ok'ish camouflage, not the best for certain terrains - but desert devisions for example weren't using that much grey as well! Nowadays our troups don't use as much grey as back in the WW2, we prefer using the fitting camouflage.
Every house has its own colors and style, Kusari orange, Liberty dark blue, Bretonia red, Rheinland green, Corsairs brown, OC well...grey? ... even Gallia has its own style, which is one of the few things I really like about the house.
Also, the stations are already grey and therefore rather bland, no need to make the ships look grey as well.
I won't say making them grey would be the worst idea - but I definatly prefer how they look now.
That also goes for their style.
Well, that picture is actually just the base texture turned into grey, done by Hades. He will most likely continue doing the whole thing properly though, he said he was going to make the yellowish areas lighter grey or something like that. So yeah... no wonder it's not perfect.
(Also, I know the Bundeswehr uses grey only for ceremonial and parade purposes, the standard issue pattern otherwise is the Flecktarn : )))
Aye, it was just a quick saturation shift in GIMP just to have a look see how it'd look.
The idea I am playing around with is a new color scheme for Rheinland, perhaps some grey with a subtle, but not too much so green tint to it. The yellow armor plates would be colored darker grey (and have the green be less subtle).
I was thinking about toying around with the engine effect, instead of it being the green fart cloud it is now, perhaps making it into a coal-like color (with a bit of green in there) which could be pretty neat.
Either way I'm probably going to try to learn texture creation and make higher resolution versions of the old maps because dang are they small and blurry.
