This is a message dump to provide notice for the action of this world taken from the ICO perspective and to show our polocy.
Independent Co-Owners is a private security firm owned and run by two people - Damion Wolf and Beowulf Draconis. The company is seperated into four departments: Logistics, Trade, Loss Prevention and Special Applications. Each supports the other when needed and all bodies work to progress the company agenda.
ICO is primaraly made up of Liberty born citizens and our base of operations is located in Alice Springs on planet Manhattan.
Logistics Department: This is one of the largest departments in ICO and covers everything needed to keep the fighting and trading arms of the company working smoothly.
Trade Division: Lead by Trade Leaders, this division is responsible for funding much of ICO's equipment and personnel. The official trade vessel of this division is the Container Transport with Trader IDs.
Loss Prevention: LP is responsible for preventing the loss of company assets. They also take contracts to protect people, places and things. This is the defensive wing of the company but it can support Special Applications in offensive operations, but not go out on its own. Loss Prevention uses fighters and gunboats with Military IDs.
Special Applications: SA is the offensive arm of ICO and is responsible for vigerously hunting down pirates, breaking blockaids, taking out pirate capital ships and taking occasional lawful bounty contracts. They can support Loss Prevention if the need arises and use Captial ship and bombers with Bounty Hunter IDs.
ICO is friendly with all of the Great Houses and holds strong ties to the Bounty Hunters Guild. We openly support any lawful faction when they need help and respond to most SOS calls.

The Xenos Pheonix has been seen repeatedly in the California system making claims that he would "cleanse the unclean." I take this as a threat but have so far been unable to track him down. Last reports suggest he has changed his ID but this is unconfirmed.
The night before this report was written, after LSF Liquid and Gladiator retired from their duties, El Nina and another Xenos in a fighter began launching raids into the New York system. One LSF officer and an indipendant acting in support of him were destroyed by El Nina, who was piloting a Corsair cruiser. I attempted briefly to engage the Xenos fighter but was chased off by the Cruiser before I could cause damage to either of them. After leading them on a stern chase I took refuge at Manhattan.
Today a trade ship was spotted transporting Cardimine to Manhattan through the Cali system. I was unable to catch up to him or get a solid reading on his holds, however, as he passed me in the trade lane while my systems were recovering from a Hackers attack. I radioed ahead to an LSF officer, who was unresponsive, and made best speed to peruse the smuggler after my systems were restored. I sent another message to LSF Gladiator after he came on-duty but by then it was too late to stop him.
On my way out of the New York system on an escort mission I came across another vessel transporting Cardimine. The pilot, MACK-TRUCK, was in a Train class transport and refused to drop his cargo when I challenged him. I disrupted the trade lane then chased him, repeatedly hitting him with cruise disruptors and demanding that he drop his cargo. Eventually, however, I was forced to destroy his vessel and dispose of the Artifacts. He managed to safely launch an escape pod and complained about loosing money.
Enclosed is a small sample of "Care" that I promised to put in this memo for the smuggler pilot.
One a side note, it has been made apparent that ICO ships are somewhat susceptible the Lane Hackers. While their military might is not something to be feared, our operating systems seem to be far from hardoned to the sophisticated computers that they use to subvert trade lanes. Both the Bahamut and the Mjolnir have been put in the repair yards to have their operating systems whipped and Read Only Memory cores installed. This will limit our tactical flexibility in the future but it will increase our resistance to Hacker attacks. It is recommended that, until these weaknesses can be take care of, ICO member avoid direct contact with Lane Hackers for prolonged periods of time.
Concerning the attack on the Logistics Department ship (a medium to light weight transport used to store company assets) by the LSF's flagship, the Goliath, this will have to be tolerated for now. The official report was the carrier was firing in self defense while trying to remove loiters from Manhattan space. Talks have slowed to a halt between ICO top staff and the commander in charge of the LSF. Tensions remain somewhat high between us and the LSF despite our working closely with them on numerous occasions. Nevertheless, ICO remains dedicated to the defense of its home land.
Despite our victories, and in light of our defeats, we need to increase our advertising and recruiting. There are currently too few members to allocate to all of our goals. Beowulf and I are in agreement that more hands are needed although we have yet to bring all of the Owners together to discuss future plans.
The loss of Lord Malak is a painful one but his reasons taking a Leave of Absence were strong. He will, hopefully, be returning to active duty soon but he will remain on paid leave until such time that he is able to perform his duties once more.
Concerning the incident in the Omega systems, I have opened a dialogue with a number of Corsairs and have attempted to convince them to keep our men alive. There is, as of yet, no word on the condition of the LP members taken captive when The Brotherhood's Corsairs tried to recapture the Bahamut. We remain hopeful that this conflict can be resolved without further loss of life. Officially we will remain neutral with Corsairs outside of Liberty space. As we speak Special Applications is doing what it can to get our men back, but it will take time.

On the Subject of the acquisition of the ICOS Bahamut.
The Bahamut is a interesting ship acquired under exterminating circumstances. Due to nermris inquiries on how the ICO obtained this vessel I shall now recount them in my report so we have a copy on hand should this vessel cause trouble for the company at a later date.
ICO is a company that consistently throws itself into harms way for a dirt cheap price, and in the case of liberty for nothing at all. We receive little respect from local law enforcers and most see us as trouble makers, mercenaries, or vigilantes, it is due to the lack of support form accredited policing organizations That ICO is forced to relief more on better technology and maximizing the limited resources at are disposal. With the ever increasing boldness of the pirate bands and ever decreasing backing of local police forces ICO is forced to arm its forces with capital and Gunboat class vessels to better protect there charges and hunt particularly bold pirates who attack them. It was in the attempt to acquire a such a powerful vessel where things turnedunpleasant.
After many trade hours and many escort runs we amassed funding to obtain a contract for a destroyer and a battle-cruiser from the bounty hunters guild. The destroyer known as the Mjolnir was obtained without incident and resides as the flagship of wolfs loss prevention Dpt. The team sent to pick up the battle-cruiser was not so forthinete. A team of trained ship operators and SA security personnel where sent in a CSV to the bounty hunter base to retrieve this ship. They had the ICOS Alaric to provide escort. Due to a lane-hacker attack on are servers the corredanent data pertaining to the retrieval of this vessel was lost, so we sent the group in the generalized direction and they where forced to find there way from there.
The ICO has had dealings with the corsairs in the past. Most of them bloody, but we have never been aggressive to them and have had a standing of neutrality. We dont interfere with there dealings. They refrain from attacking are charges. This team set down on the corsair controlled world to inform them of are passing through there system. Placing some coin in the right hands helped this along a little, after an hour long layover the CSV and the Alaric we rebuild and repaired after a encounter with nomad forces. Upon exiting to continue to Omega-15 a member of the collation revolutionaries emerged and took a disliking to the retrieval team. He accused us of being dogs to the liberty government and slaves to tyrants and dictators. The team and their escort attempted to leave peacefully but negotiations broke down and the collation agent roused the local corsairs to attack the team thus breaking the pact of neutrality.
The team fled to Omicron-Kappa where in the asteroids the team and their escort where forced into a dogfight. The result was the CSV getting severely damaged and forced to make a emergency landing on the zone controlled world of gammu. The Alaric joined them later. The CSV was beyond repair and team was forced to flee the local spaceport for retrieval by the Alaric. The populous of gammu was not pirticuerly helpful to the team but at the time they where not a hindrance either. Upon reaching the station and with the application of appropriate force on the local employees the team was able to lurk that the pirates that had pursued the team had now blockaded the orbit and where waiting for the wounded Alaric to return to their jaws. The team needed a way out and after searching the database they found it in the form of a unfinished huntress class cruiser based on the planet side shipyard on the far end of the spaceport. Curtsy of a forceful entry by the Alaric the team was able to board this vessel and disable the crew and workers busy completing the vessel.
The ship was space worthy but barely and it would take some time to prepare the vessel. The space port informed the corsairs of the loss of the vessel in witch case they commenced an attempt to orbital bombard the ship. But due to the artic conditions of the planet cuppiled with corsair ineptitude they succeeded in causing extensive damage to the spaceport but minimal to the vessel. Upon this failer the corsairs sent down marines, if you could call them that to the planet to retrieve the ship. The Alarics own marine force held them back long enough to get the ship into atmosphere. Upon entering gammas orbit the team who had been prepared for a lengthy and hard pressed fight where relived to discover that the Nomads had come to lend a inadvertent hand in the destruction of the corsair forces. Taking the chance given the ICO forces fled to liberty space. Presumed by remnants of the collation all the way to Alaska where the dense ice fields slowed the huntress long enough to be caught up to by collation ships. The huntress placed itself in-between the retreating Alaric and a second ICO ship the ICOS Malak the huntress took severe damage from the collations Ho Chi Minh. her guns savagely pounded the incomplete curser but she served her pipes well shielding the evacuees so that they may reach network space. Taking her for dead. And antagonized by a incoming bounty hunter patrol the Huntress was set adrift in the icefealds for several hours before a emergency response team from the ICO HQ was able to drag the vessel to new folk where she was painstakingly repaired. Blooded but salient the ship was named the Bahamut and was grated to the command of caption John T. Reynolds .
Today she serves as C&C for many ICO operations and as a deterrent ageist aggressive pirate attacks.
However as of late her passionate captain has been causing angst with local security forces and has taken to being overly aggressive in these sensitive times. He will have to be watched closely. Over all casualties for the op consist of 15, with 4 confirmed KIA and 11 captured by corsair forces. Their names are enclosed on a sepret file and actions are underway to retrieve these solders.

On the subject of the report received by the ICOS Anubis
ICO seams to have unforthanint luck when it comes to the acquisition of new vessels. After the recent staff meeting it was discussed that ICO transports needed to armor up due to the fact that ICO can not always provide there own escort. after a helpful donation of house Kisari in the form of two container transports we sent a team to retrieve the vessels. The over all trip was uneventful and custody of the vessels was transferred without incident. but on the return trip the latter of the two vessels we attacked by a lone blood dragon fighter.
The dragon fighter attacked without warning or provocation but upon reaching a range of 500K meters the transport opened up with its servilery modified weapons and greatly wounded the fighter on its initial pass. Realizing he was outmatched the fighter fled, the crew of the Anubis did not presume. why the dragons have become so active as of late in unknown. For the life of me I cant get why a bunch of disenfranchised samurai could stoop so low as becoming Ronen. Now ICO has never been fond of the pretentious government officials that run Kisari and their have been rumors of ICO vessels assisting the blood dragons. (although these rumors are unconfirmed as of this date) Although ICO will take no action agenst the blood dragons for the actions of this single rouge we will be on high alert, and traveling in grater escort when traveling in the kasari system.

battle data from the ICOS Bahamut in the latest lane hacker engagement
At 1938 MST the ICOS Anubis received word of a PRF fighter in an engagement with a bounty in California the Anubis and the albatross, and the Alaric assisted by closing off the Magellan, Cortez, and California Jump gates. The fight was going smoothly until Lane hacker backup came in the form of a battleship known as the Vengeance. It immidetly destroyed the Anubis and proceeded after the Bounty Hunter. The Bahamut receiving a distress signal from the Anubis came to investigate. Upon confirming that it was a capital ship the Bahamut ordered the retreat of the Albatross and advised the PRF fighter to evacuate as weal.
Upon reaching California the PRF fighter was destroyed. And the Bahamut proceeded to exchange fire with the Vengeance to cover the retreat of the Albatross. The Alaric proceeded to recover the PRF agents escape pod and search for survivors of the Anubis.
The engagement between the Bahamut and The vengeance was a quick and bloody fight. Though the Bahamut fought bravely she was simply outmatched. she destroyed the vengeances shield generator and caused notable damage to the vengeance but ultimately the Bahamut was severely crippled in the fight and forced in a wounded retreat back to new York where all available ICO vessels and every brave freelancer and trader assembled a rag tag fleet to defend agenst the vengeances possible incursion into Manhattan. Luckily it never came. And as the vengeance was reported to be heading back to Magellan the fleet was relised and the Bahamut was forced into Norfolk shipyards where it is undergoing extensive repairs.
Two escape pods where found from the Anubis and the PRF pilot was recovered due to the brave actions of the crew of the Alaric. There where losses however and ceremonies for their burial will commence at 1400 hours MST. They will be sorely missed by all. The PRF pilot was evaced to Manhattan where he was placed in intensive care for his injuries while engaging the Vengeance. it takes some balls to engage a battleship in a fighter without backup. ICO respects his courage and hops he lives through the night.

Today is a sad day for ICO but we have not been broken. protecting liberty is are job are life and though some may not agree with it we have spilt blood for are nation lost many loved ones to the vile of sires and we stand to loss more still but are resolve is little shaken and we will stand strong where few dare. on the subject of corsairs
Today a undercover ICO vessel while occupying itself by not helping LSF forces in their latest engagement cam upon a alleged corsair by the name of Jose Carlos, he was under fire by a mandalorion mercenary, this was an unprovoked attack and the UC stepped in on the corsairs behalf. After a heated engagement in witch the victim tried to flee numres occasions the UC ICO vessel attacked wounded the mandalorien but before the killing blow could be planted a phantom incursion in to the poorly defended liberty space. Though the valiant LSF fighters fought bravely last reports indicated they where outmatched and vastly outnumbered. ICO was in position to assest but due to Woolsys decree ICO respectfuly allowed his men to be sluaterd.
Why the admiral would allow his pride to weaken liberty is beyond me but such matters are not my choice. If this was the Imperium things would be different but that is so far away now.
Regardless the corsair requested a contract for ICO protection. Though this was reluctantly provided under stipulations. ICO will protect Jose and his Gunboat partner the Mobies, only if it is an unprovoked attack upon them. We will not assist if it was brought on by an act of piracy or if local law enforcers are attacking them for a violation into their territories, we will however defend them from attack by third parties and so long as they did not start the brawl, this includes bounty hunters. We do not know why they have a bounty on their heads but I have a filling it is not a just one. We do not support unlawful actions and if these two are seen commencing acts of piracy we will side with the local law enforcers.
This is a vexing contract and I have a filling it is politically motivated. It is no secret that corsairs and ICO have been at each other lately maybe this is a step to smooth things over and get are men back without starting a war. Maybe this man can even be used as informants to track the location of are men. Though I am uncomfortable protecting an alleged piret we will do what we have to do to rescue are men. And with ICO now homeless we cant afford to be making enemies

today at aproxamitintly 0000 hours MST, The ICOS Bahamut commenced in bounty hunting operations. in the course of tracking 3 rouges who had taken refuge in the California icefealds. as the Bahamut arived on the scene Two LSF figthers had allready engaged them. the Bahamut proceeded to collect the bounty on the rouge gunboat but fearing the lsf fighters would be caught in the crossfire the Bahamut conceded the other two to the LSF. upon return to NY the Bahamut ran across anughter bounty almerois, and proceeded to hold him in place so that the LSF (who where also heading to NY) could play with him.
