Not all fights involving fighters are duels. In fact, duels are probably less common than group fights or fighter vs transport/gunboat. A boost in energy would make a massive difference in these situations.
Or what about if that scary green message just don't show up every time you undock. It's kinda like when you create something from LEGO but on a few places you use blue parts insted of red and every time you move out from your room someone always puch it in to your face with a big grin on his face: "Hey! I saw what you made from LEGO! But it sucks 'coz blue parts aren't original!"...or something like this. I think everyone got what i wanted to say, that is all for me today, i'm really tired that's why i didn't got any better examples than LEGO.

[1/3/2012 11:40:33 PM] Dabbykins: Ships don't often run out of energy in a duel. It'd only benefit ships in a fleet fight, and in such a situation, people would be better off with the 25% bonus to DPS or dodging than with 25% more energy.
TBH, this is a gimmick. Something that seems to be real, but really does nothing but remove the nerf entirely and return us to what we had before the technerf. And don't mention trusting factions. The technerf exists because factions trade tech for pvp advantages, not for roleplay reasons. And that has never, and will never, be the idea behind tech sharing permissions.
