"Oh, there are many. Which are your favourite, comrade commisar? That the only person any of them cares about his himself? That it is their right to live on the necks of the poor, of those who actually have to work for everything they need? That they even have fun doing that? Or that they denunciate everyone criticizing their system with calling him a traitor and an enemy of the society? I personally wonder how they even manage not to kill each other...oh wait...they can't even that...And that's the fact. In the end there are no ideals they follow, cause they have no guidelines on the way to become fat and rich. They respect nothing, and noone..."
Squished bigly ~Champ- Thanks, you're a champ. "What's the word for when it feels inside your heart that everything in the world is all right?"
Vorshevsky started to walk to the nearby cabinet and grabbed a bottle of vodka and 2 shot glasses.
"So what is our motives and our goals? Why do we want to fight the 'ancsestors of the Alliances'? You say all they care about is themselves, but what makes the Coalition different?"

"Isn't having an ego necessary for a politician? If Ling lacked charisma, he could not have assumed the Premiership. He could not have faced the State Duma or the Commissariat. No Ling's failure was not his ego. That was his strength. As for his timing, he got that perfect. When the people were down and crying for Katz - He was forming a strong government and enacting a morale boosting campaign against the Corsairs. No, he failed for a very simplistic reason which the people caught on to very quickly and rose against. Do you know what that is hmm?"
From what he'd heard on the news channels, from buddies and rumours, Vladimir got a quite a grasp of the recent incidents, however, there was still a few dark spots, a few matters he had not formed his final opinion of yet. He raised is left eyebrow again, what made him look like a thinker, cogitating a few seconds about what the Commandant had said to him, Vladimir answered in a totally convinced manner: "The answer is simple, comrade Commandant, he did what makes one being in a high position fall off his throne very, very deep downwards very, very quickly. He lied."
Xu picked up a pistol a shot the recruit in the knee. The recruit slumped out of the chair and grasped it with both hands to stem the bleeding.
"No. He was weak. Ling's failing was that when he was challenged by those in authority, he backed down or compromised. This was a man who initially followed the Volkhan before siding with the rebels in the Civil War. A man who manipulated his way into the seat of Commandant and before declaring himself Premier, could not keep Commandante Rhade in check. He hesitated and tried to compromise, rather than picking up a gun and doing what every good Communist should do - Fight for his beliefs."
Looking down, he pointed the pistol at the recruits head.
"Are you weak recruit? What will you do to prove your worth?"
A heavily pulsating ache swarmed from his knee into the entire leg after Xu had shot him in the knee. Pressing his hands against the wound, Vladimir's concentration was broken for a few moments. The nearly unendurable pain did not weaken his determination though, just the opposite, he felt a deep strength rising is his mind. Vladimir felt the end of the pistol pressed on his temple, the iron felt cold as ice. He listened to the Commandant's ultimate questions and answered, his sweat starting to run down from his head. "No, Commandant, I am not weak, if I were, I wouldn't have gotten that far in life. I wouldn't have the opportunity to make my dream reality now, that is, to follow my own beliefs, which are the ones of the Coalition. I will fight for its ideal and its people with every bit of my body, for that the revolution will continue and prevail. All I need is a chance." Vladimir became silent, closed his eyes for a moment and waited for his fate to arrive.
"What the Coalition...what us makes different - there are many opinions. Some say that know and respect the fact that everyone is and has to be equal. Others say it's just the different kind of life we live. Again others think we are just like them, only searching another reason to kill.
But I personally am sure the little differences make the big difference in the end. They want prosperity for themselves. We want prosperity for every human. They use the workers they treat like slaves as a shield in the endless war. We know the difference between non combatants and enforcers of the capitalism. They represent the past, while the coalition represents the future. They can't have that and that's why they want to destroy us at all costs. But we will win this fight, ban those who supported everything the alliance stands for -greed, arrogance and the feeling to be something better- and finally bring equality and a life worthy of being lived to humanity. It was like that 820 years ago and it is still like that. But not for long...especially not if I would be able to support it."

Xu clicked the safety on and pull the pistol back.
"We shall see. Last question, explain to me why I go through this process? I do not mean this rhetorically comrade. Why do you come into this room full of hopes and dreams to be met like a man like me hmm?"
The pistol being pulled away from his head, Vladimir's heartbeat was gradually calming. "Well, comrade Commandant, you can see all the recruits sitting in the lounge, they all dream of contributing to the revolution becoming a pilot of the Fighter Corps, however, you only accept the strongest and most diligent among your ranks, those who do not hesitate or draw back, and in order to know whether they're of such, you need a personal confrontation with them, as this is the most effective way to get a notion of one's character and behaviour.. This is a test, a test that is necessary to maintain the Coalition's strength, for that its people keep being defended by people who are capable and intrepid." Having said these words, Vladimir mind felt sort of liberated. The perpetual ache originating from his knee he did not mind too much anymore, either.
