Now fair dues to the LSF you have done a great job role playing in New York.
And you are correct also "It takes a few to spoil it for the many"
When we get this all sorted out, i will be voting for it to be turned back on, but until its sorted i am sorry it stay off.
Cheers
I suppose something had to be done but this seems excessive. Some RL stuff buggin me too so maybe I am more peeved than I should be. I hope we get back to normal soon as NY became so much more fun last couple of weeks.
I to have experienced real life stresses, causing long sleepless nights, work and everything tumbling down at once.
Like BULLDOGNK said, I was the last straw that broke the cammels back. And being accused of PvP whoring two civilians in NY was that straw that set my attitude off. If it came across offensively. But try being in my position for two seconds. Not an easy place with all the crap going on around me.
Just so where clean Hood and BULLDOG. I was upset at the whole situation yes, but the thin ice was being accused of killing two civilians for no reason. I never killed a civilian in that character. I was attacked first, forced to protect myself against a star flier and a Liberty VHF. I never killed anyone below level 10 or 15.
I never whored anyone. Yea I fired a few shots off at a Civilian to make him jump around a bit, but thats all in the fun :)
All the Rogues and Xenos in New York I have seen so far, and I know most of them, have not abused the right to kill under level players. Its the ones you see killed that makes you think it goes on all the time. it doesn't. I rarely see an under level killed in NY.
@Hood, I am also upset at how you 'warned' me in-game. Quoting rule after rule that I was following, did not help at all. And what really ticked me off was when I said, "leave me alone, I have NPC's to shoot", three times, you continued to badger me over and over. in private chat. Not cool:sleep:
@Bulldog, as for the PM, I received it after work, I have tried to log into TS, but it is down for some reason.
I will try not to shoot my mouth off again, but honestly. Even after I stated that I was just protecting myself, you still turned PvP off. without doing any other research on the situation. If you watched it a little closer, it might have appeared it was a lot less serious then it seemed.
I hope you switch it back on again for everyone else's sake. especially for the LSF, our epic battles in front of Manhattan was some of the most fun I have had here, and by far some of the most educational PvP's I have had...ever. :)
Cheers

We are willing to accept the occasional abuser who targets us when we are under level 30, but only because the gains outweigh the losses. If we put enough financial value on our Daggers to make them viable targets to everyone (upgraded equipment of all types would do it without credits), then I can just about guarantee that we would drop that from our career system in a few days because none of our members would stand any chance at completing the other promotion criteria while running from every other player in sight.
Granted, I have gotten a lot of negative critiques from the community about that part of our system, but those who have joined are working it, and I think they are enjoying the challenge that practically no other clan here provides.
I thought this was important. I just finished my Dagger requirements. It was loads of fun annihilating puny NPCs throughout Liberty (mostly in California) and running whenever someone came too close. I even tried to pirate a trader... He said no, and flew on his way. I had no way to stop him. Personally, this faction's start has been some of the greatest fun I've had since I originally joined this server over two years ago.
I was engaged by a Xeno in New York, but it could just have easily have happened in California (where I spend most of my time). He attacked me in my Dagger. He gave warning shots. I screamed "Xeno scum!" into system chat and killed him (after a most epic battle). Nothing wrong with that. I've had much worse in a completely decked out class ten fighter. Getting vaporized by battleships that just decide to start shooting for no reason.
Zepher was the Xeno, I think. Still curious to know his forum name...

Okay, people. There is little debate by true Roleplayers whether or not PvP is allowed in New York. Yesterday me and several fellows were saddened by the sacrifice in our RP quality, seeing smugglers pass by unhindered and criminals in front of Manhattan, unable to be dealt with even when surrounded by the entire Liberty fleet. People who look for loopholes and the "cat's fifth leg" in order to get away with childish and unreasonable behavior, spoiling the fun and RP of other players need to change, and overcome whatever it is that doesn't let them fit. I'm sure many of us have made mistakes, but I trust everyone better his/herself in the end.
As to the PvP disable, it is obviously disturbing, other community members and myself are working on a way to get through this problem by amending the rules to reflect the improvements and precautions we should take so that we can maintain our high-quality standard of Roleplay and fun, for all those really concerned about our playing experience and future as a whole.

I agree with Skyelus and the other pro-NYRP players. I think we can work together to compromise. I still RP in NY because I know LSF likes to get a foothold on the The RP in that System. Something they haven't got to do A long time ago.
I really don't see what was the problem with low level players flying around there.
If my lvl 90 char is attacked by lvl 28 i have every right to kill him, OR i can ask lawful forces to aid me. In that case no rules are broken. Same things can happen in any system but nobody turns down pvp in them. Come on people get real...Biggest problem of NY is OOC talk and those pesky starflyers occasionally ramming big ships...low level pvp is not a problem...if anybody want to attack my well equipped and strong ships with starflyer...by all means feel free...but expect to be dead in a second
Few days my Xeno boys and LSF had quite nice fight in NY, and when Phantoms joined in i think it was largest fight in NY ever.
Too bad pvp is off again....we just lost big portion of RP zone...:(...
It's not about rules, it's about common sense and courtesy. Rules are there for people that don't have either, whose soul purpose is to ruin the game for others and to "win". Look what your "winning" as gotten. Everyone upset, and no good. "Winning" isn't everything people.
