because non-agression is a different animal from neutrality
the way I see it neutrality implies peace while non-aggression implies war.
the Gaians should absolutely hate the GRN for what they did to them & that hate should be intensified by not being able to touch them without being genocided if they did

But as I realised, they forced to leave Lewis and Edinburgh. If they cant make the gallians life as a horror show, what else can they do now? Sure thing, they can do the formal anti BMM/Planetform stuff, but without Edinburgh and Lewis they forced to live somewhere near Orkney what is far like hell from any Planetform/BMM interestings.
They have Islay base, thats ok, but a place with gallian battleships, stations, etc. isnt the place where they can act. Since there are no OSC/Planetform bases at Edinburgh I see no point to act as a gaian novadays.
I dont want to be a conservative swine, but without acting against the invaders (gallians) the life of the gaians is just a restricted surviving somewhere out there without any kind of mission.

They still act against the nation of Bretonia. One of the largest Gaian facilities are Skye base, which is in Newcastle. Also, Islay have a very important staging base on Leeds (Leeds JH in Edi which is like 5k from Islay)
many people have a problem adapting to change. For those that can't, not much I can say to help them
What we have here is an excellent opportunity to add more ingredients to the historically bland Gaian RP stew. People can play it however they like, but I reckon it's pretty obvious that Gaians have much more on their plate now than just spouting 'for Gaia' type slogans & whatnot
time to kick imaginations into a higher gear, methinks:cool:
I'm always opened for some mind washing. Btw I always tried to do something non-common, but in this situation the original gaian RP is dead from my side.
However you are right Burg, its a fine chance to find some new, uncommon goal as a gaian. Some ideas could be much appreciated;)

My 1st thought way back was the opportunities to get a smidge buddy-buddy w/ the council & maquis & w/ their help, engage in acts of sabotage from the shadows
Gaians have already been kicked out of Lewis. Gallia had its chance to wipe them out, but that chance is gone because it let them leave instead. What Gaian bases are left are both few in number (uh, 2? 3?) and hidden well enough that supposedly the BAF doesn't know where they are. I don't see any immediate threat that Gallia has over the Gaians, other than a threat to finish hunting them down once they finish conquering Bretonia.
On the other hand, Gaians have every reason to hate Gallia as much or more than Bretonia. Being kicked out of their home, threatened, having Gaia taken, and to top it all off, Gallia uses oil as a primary source of energy. Oil is one of the dirtiest methods of producing energy, only burning coal or the rampant dumping of radioactive waste could be worse.
' Wrote:This is how I think of it based on what I know since .86 went live: I see the GRN npc's shoot Gaians
GRN NPCs don't shoot Gaian NPCs. It may be that those Gaians are carrying something that the GRN NPCs then demand from then, causing them to shoot one another. But the NPC factions are definitely neutral to one another, and should be. I've also just checked the files for the mod and confirmed this.
