From: Kei Marwick, Renzu Corporation To: Kusari State Police Re: Civillian Ship Testing
Konichiwa,
I do not know if the KNF contacted you about our requests for testing our ships or not. However, with their leadership currently in the.......situation......it is, we do not feel comfortable pressing our suit with them. We do not think they need any distractions such as our testing.
I will outline our desired goals for you, in case you have not heard them. Renzu would like to do some research involving mock combat in and around a trade lane. The combat will hopefully provide us with information relevant to producing better ships for the civillian populace. We would like to do the testing near a jump lane because often, that is where real combat is instigated. It is best to test the ships in the theater of battle that they are most often going to see. It is also our hope to open the tests to public viewing. We think that such a thing will boost Kusari morale and spirit as well as provide good press relations for both the Kusari State Police and Renzu.
All we would need from your organisation, aside from permission, is a few officers to help us keep people at a safe distance. Our own security forces could handle the job, but people respect the KSP authority and are less likely to challenge you. If you would like a more active role in the testing, that too, can be arranged.
Yours Sincerely,
Kei Marwick, Head of Research and Development.

[color=#FFFFFF]The Kusari State Police would be happy to help the Renzu Corporation with their testing, Marwick-san. We have only 3 conditions:
The test ship(s) and all mounted equipment will be fully inspected and approved by a KSP officer prior to the event.
Testing will NOT be conducted directly at a Trade Lane termination point. Any other node along the lane is fine.
At least one KSP officer will be present for the full duration of the test(s).
Other than that, we'll try to give Renzu as much freedom as possible in the conduction of these mock-combat scenarios. That said, safety is out number-one concern here. The KSP will allow passing civilian vessels to stop and view the exercises, but we will make sure that they maintain a safe distance from the testing area. Furthermore, in the unlikely event that anything should... well, go "horribly wrong" with your testing, the KSP will intervene and restore order.
I'll contact your corporation privately to work out the details of when and where.

Excellent. Renzu fully agrees with your stipulations. I will now start co-ordinating the test times, personnel, and equipment within Renzu. It is likely to be some time before we are ready to actualize the tests as we sought your permission before acting on our hopes. If you or your officers would like to be present or recieve regular updates on the preperations I would be happy to contact you via a secure S.K.Y.P.E. protocol datalink.
Yours Sincerely,
Kei Marwick, Head of Research and Development.
