This is not about to buff the destroyer or reducing its stats nor to create a new cruiser immediately. This is about the real purpose of the current bretonia destroyer with the current stats.
I gave you an example with LSC, does it have an armor buff or energy buff? No. That's the point.
As for the new capital ships for bretonia me and Jam are already working on some.

First, with real battlecruiser core, a real heavy battlecruiser can inflict far more damage than this with 2.25m core. Anyway here are other tests I made:
You know that inflicting 1 500 000 damage with 9 shotsfor 40 sec is better than to inflict 89 + shots for 2 140 200 damage with primaries. And in theory a lot things are different but in real battle nobody will let you fire continiously, especially if under fire and evasive is neccessary. Then mortar could hit for 150 000 with 1 sec while firing 7 times with 2 guns to inflict same damage and HIT your enemy is different.

I don't think this idea of a light battlecruiser is bad, but two things.
In exchange for being 'lighter' and the three battleship primary guns, it should have only ONE cruiser heavy slot.
Also, I'd sort of like to see the RNC cruiser get two battleship primaries on it too, on the top and bottom mounts (the bottom one being extremely large)
I've pointed you LSC because its from the vanila like bretonia dessi and they both had these slot areas back then. Both liberty and bretonia have anti bs cruiser/destroyers and small battleships while kusari and rheinland have the opposite: small cruisers and heavy battleships acting like artilery main units.
As I stated from the post 1, this is not a global upgrade to all and every cruiser class.
-LSC have a forward gun, its one of a kind. Artillery unit.
-Bretonia dessi is build to have 3 bs turrets and no forward gun. Artillery support unit.
-Kusari dessi is build as mass deployment units for the direct frontal attack making them assault units not artliery units.
-Rheinland cruiser is build as standart balanced unit between both close and long range support making it Hybrid. Its not specialized in artliery like bret dessi/LSC or specialized in close range like ku dessi but its good in both situations making it the most adaptive cruiser. ( And yes you are right RM Cruiser should have 1 battleship Turret belowbut this thread is not for RM cruiser)
Hah, I don't want to image a bretonia destroyer with 3 battleship slots... you know, from 1.6k with turret steering it can rip the floor with a battleship without missile turrets. The fact is that 3 battleship primary turrets have a range of 3k, and from around 2.5 k you can hit any light battleship with ease, being able to dodge, if I'm not wrong, 99% of the fire.
Also as it is now, the bertonia destroyer has an extreme fast turning rate, so as it can overrun any heavy cruiser, forcing it to fire backwards, and the light ones don't really stand a chance, maybe only a experienced resheph being able to defeat it.
As far as I can tell, the bert dessie is the best crusier / battlecruiser ship out there if it's flown right.
Conclusion:
-The Battleship slots are a very nice idea
-In order to implement it, we must make the turn rate of the cruiser increased with about 2 seconds at least (same as on the RNC)
-Increase the power regeneration to 130.000
-We may drop the hull to 320000 due to it's heavier armament and powercore, and also it's relative small profile

Yup I was thinking about why they made bret dessi that heavy armored. Its profile is very small and if we count the weight of the ship from the look of it...355 000 is indeed a lot.
If that update happens one way or another armor reduction could be the only balance solution which will change the dessi in to real artllery unit: Very Heavy Damage, Low armor, same power generator, maneuverable as it is now, weak against bombers and fighters because of its turret locations (nearly no guns firing backward).
p/s: Fixing and balancing the stats of the ship is a dev job. We are talking here only about the possibility of making the bretonia destroyer its true self. Imagine a LSC without a forward gun? Bret dessi is like that now. I dont say its bad ship but its more than that.
Small comperison between 3 cerberus cruiser turrets and 3 bs turrets:
Difference: for less time 800 000 lesser damage with bs turrets comparing to cerberus. But in artillery duty the faster you kill your enemy the better.
I am really wondering what is the dev oppinion about post 1.
I have one of these and love flying it. It's pretty easy to control, and the weird shape makes it hard to hit from a distance since the targeting cursor aims for the space below the body. I almost took down a GRN battleship the other day, and that was just with pulse and LMs.
The biggest "problem" with it now is the turret placement and arcs, which limit the number of guns that can fire to the rear. The two turrets under the nose only fire forward, one of the BS turrets you found only fires forward, two of the side turrets only fire forward, etc. Also the power core is kind of limited, since you can't fire more than 2 LMs even at full charge. Putting BS weapons on these turrets would not really do anything for it, since it would not address either of those limitations. You'd still have to shoot forward most of the time, and you'd just run out of power faster
